Dr Raul Garcia for US Senate@GarciaForWA
I extend my warmest congratulations to Sen. Maria Cantwell on her re-election, and wish her all the best in her next term.
I also want to thank the people of Washington for giving me the opportunity to run for office, and everyone who so graciously supported me. Throughout this campaign Jessica and I have met amazing people, from such diverse backgrounds, who are passionate about making our state and our country the best they can possibly be. I have learned so much from them, and they have only deepened my love for Washington and the United States of America.
Many of the most profound connections we’ve formed during the campaign have been with those affected by the fentanyl crisis: People who’ve lost family members, former addicts, recovery advocates and concerned citizens. This isn’t a political issue – it’s a human issue – and I will continue to do everything I can to help fight this deadly drug.
The late Dan Evans, our former governor and my friend and mentor, sets us a great example of mutual respect and civility even when we disagree on issues. We are always at our best when we seek unity over division.
To my wife, Jessica, and our children, I could not be more grateful to have a better family. Thank you for all your sacrifice, love, and support. I could not be here without you. You are the reason why I am so passionate about our message.
