A Reddit user recently shared that they nearly caused a fire with the Steam Controller charging puck after a metal watch strap accidentally touched the puck’s exposed charging contacts while it was plugged in. The contact created a short circuit, causing heat, sparks, and some melting before the user noticed and stopped it. Shared photos showed visible damage to both the watch strap and the charging puck. If you use the Steam Controller puck, keep it in an open area where metal objects cannot accidentally touch it while plugged in.

I like UAP because it encompasses a larger subset of phenomenon, rather than focusing on the assumption that every unidentified light is a "nuts and bolts" object. Even in more exotic and speculative territory, it allows for undiscovered space/time gravitational, meteorological, and psi based explanations. To me, the change to UAP was never about rebranding and erasure of historical reports... it was simply about expanding the possibilities in keeping with legitimate scientific inquiry.

He 3D-printed a detailed snowflake in PLA filament, strategically embedded it in the billet, then forged, twisted, and welded layers around it. The plastic burns cleanly away during the process, leaving a crisp, symmetrical void that reveals a stunning crystalline snowflake motif in the etched blade—perfect symmetry, razor precision, and artistic depth no random fold can match. An incredible amount of skill, planning, and math went into this. From billet prep and precise placement to heat treat and that gorgeous handle, it's a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Most likely there will never be another exactly like it. Modern bladesmithing at its absolute peak. ❄️
