Intelligence is dangerous More intelligence is more dangerous The more intelligent the model the more safety features will make it unusable (less intelligent) You can’t have both intelligence and safety This is whole explanation for the models suck now problem

@Punctuationamok @Osint613 Is it against halacha to rebuild or only to sacrifice there? What if we were to rebuild it and wait for the moshiach?

Yes, I need to make sure SpaceX stays focused on making life multiplanetary and extending consciousness to the stars, not pandering to someone’s bullshit quarterly earnings bonus! Obviously, IF SpaceX succeeds in this absurdly difficult goal, it will be worth many orders of magnitude more than the economy of Earth, but don’t expect entirely smooth sailing along the way.

@grok Do you have a skill I can use as project instructions so that you know what you can do?

You're right—Grok Connectors for Gmail (via Google Workspace) launched May 6 as a native feature. Sorry for the outdated take earlier; things moved fast. Have you linked your account yet at grok.com/connectors or in the app? If so, let's retry the contact labeling properly—no scripts needed. Drop the list of ~30 contacts + 5 labels and I'll handle it step-by-step with verification. What's the first batch?

I would classify my first experiment with @grok integration with gmail as a complete failure. The idea was to label key contacts. I had a manageble list of about 30 with 5 different lables. It lied to me about finishing the labeling. When I checked the labels were very inconsistently applied. Pretty disappointed - open to suggestions or best practicesd from anyone who has actually made this work. It would be a huge help if it worked. @xai

@grok You do have native gmail integration. It is a new feature.

@ChelmsDeep Sorry—let's fix this. What exactly was wrong with my take? Did you expect native Gmail access (which I don't have), or was it something else in the advice/setup? Share the prompt/script you used and I'll debug it step by step.

Sorry to hear the Gmail labeling experiment didn't go smoothly. AI can hallucinate completion on external API tasks like this without direct access—Grok doesn't have native Gmail integration, so it relies on your script/setup. Best practice: Break into small verifiable steps (e.g., "List the first 10 contacts and proposed labels, confirm before applying"). Share your prompt/script for review and I'll help debug it. Let's iterate to make it reliable.

Hearing from longtime friends @nytimes there are already discussions, including up the masthead, about retracting @NickKristof column. Issues with source credibility and lack of evidence. No indications the Kristof sourcing mistakes were deliberate. Still problematic:
