Youth sports are out of control. I was the 9th overall pick in the MLB Draft. I played professionally for more than 10 years. Here is how I am navigating youth sports as a parent to four kids:

It's easier to coach a tournament than a practice. Which is why programs do more tournaments than running developmental practices. Literally anyone can fill out out a lineup card and put on steal signs. Find a program where practices are at least 65% of field time.⚾🔥🥎
