There are 3 groups of people mourning Linda Masarira. Each group must be understood within its own context. 1. There are real victims of Zanupf torture and imprisonment that Linda vehemently supported and instigated. These include people like Takudzwa Ngadziore, Ngarivhume and many others. They went through trauma at the hands of Zanupf and it was unfortunate Linda added more pain to injury by instigating lies. I cant imagine how Ngadziore felt seeing Linda lie that his torture was fake after being abducted at gun point in broad day light. Surely, Ngadziore will mourn Linda differently from the rest of us& no one should expert him to suddenly like the person at the center of his torture. 2. There are those who hated Linda not because she did anything personally wrong to them but because she had political views that differed from theirs. We all know our problems in Zimbabwe starts and end with Zanupf & her dilly darling with Zanupf advancing their policies including CAB3 did upset a lot of people, including Gonzo. Some met her in person and others never did but one thing for sure is these folks disliked her but at moment like this, they see no reason to attack her in death. 3. Then there are family and friends. Some agreed or disagreed with her political views but still saw her as family and therefore will not attack her in death. Their relationship is & has always been that of family and nothing else. It is important to understand these groups of mourners and where they come from and why they take the position they are taking on Lindas death. They are all correct in their own context.
