To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. -Teddy Roosevelt

If we would have elected Harris we would be supporting Ukraine, and this war and Russias attack on Ukraine would already be over. Instead now were being threatened with nuclear weapons by war criminal Putin. #DonaldisthewarPresident.

I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine for striking one of Russia’s important military-industrial enterprises. The distance from our border is 1,700 kilometers – Perm Krai. Metafrax Chemicals is an important part of Russia’s chemical industry. The company’s products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including aircraft and drones, missile engines, and explosives. The production process at the facility has now been halted. This is an important long-range sanction of ours. Thank you!

Rubio declares that U.S. efforts to negotiate between Russia and Ukraine "has not led to a fruitful outcome for a variety of reasons" and have now "stagnated." Really? Maybe they stagnated because the strategy of pressuring the victim to surrender to an aggressor, who would almost certainly murder us under occupation, was stillborn from the start. Perhaps, instead, you could try putting pressure on Russia and arming Ukraine to make this war unbearable for the ones actually choosing to wage it every day?

Meanwhile in Ukraine
Meanwhile in Ukraine@MeanwhileInUA·
Putin didn't invade Ukraine because of NATO. He invaded because Ukrainians were proving democracy works. Historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum puts it plainly: Putin looked at Ukraine's democratic movement and thought, "If they can do it in Ukraine, then people could do it in Russia. So I need to crush this." That's the real threat Ukraine posed. Not missiles. Not borders. A working democracy next door. Applebaum frames the war as a fault line between the democratic and autocratic worlds. Russia isn't just trying to take territory. It's trying to erase Ukraine as a nation, reduce it to a colony, and send a message to every country that the post-1945 rules of Europe no longer apply. Those rules were simple: no invasions, no wars, borders don't change by force. Russia understood exactly what it was breaking when it crossed into Ukraine.

The attack by Russia on Kiev last night is weakness, not strength. It is designed to break their will. It did not work for the Germans against the British in 1940. It will not work against Ukraine now.

Russia hit a dead-end on the battlefield, so it terrorizes Ukraine with deliberate strikes on city centres. These are abhorrent acts of terror meant to kill as many civilians as possible. Moscow reportedly using Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missiles – systems designed to carry nuclear warheads – is a political scare-tactic and reckless nuclear-brinkmanship. Next week, EU Foreign Ministers will discuss how to dial up the international pressure on Russia.

Canada strongly condemns Russia’s launch of large-scale missile and drone attacks on civilian targets in Kyiv tonight. For more than four years since Russia’s illegal invasion, it has greatly underestimated the courage, determination, and strength of the Ukrainian people — even as Putin’s regime has relentlessly bombed Ukrainian energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and homes. We call on Russia to immediately cease these strikes and end this illegal war of aggression. They prolong human suffering and do nothing to change the fact that Russia will lose this war. Canada will continue working closely with international partners to secure a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe.

This was a Russian attack on Kyiv, a metropolis of 3 million people, last night. Don't just watch, act! Contact your representatives, demand support for Ukraine and more pressure on Russia, spread the word, if you can donate to charities you trust.

Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine last night shows the Kremlin’s brutality and disregard for both human life and peace negotiations. Terror against civilians is not strength. It's despair. We stand firmly with Ukraine, with further support on the way to reinforce its air defence systems.
