@Abramjee I went to Sunnyside police station to certify my documents, and I was shocked to find a Nigerian sitting there who wasn’t even a police officer trying to stamp my documents. Sunnyside police station is a crime scene.

On 25 April 2026 at around 3pm, an incident occurred on Steve Biko Road outside a residence known as Stoke City. A driver had brought a large sum of money from his workplace to hand over to another individual, who was meant to deposit it as rental payment for three shops. While the handover was taking place, police officers arrived on the scene, conducted a search, and took both individuals into custody. They were transported to Sunnyside Police Station and placed in holding cells without being clearly informed of the reason for their arrest at the time. Later, when inquiries were made at the charge office, a female officer checked and indicated that the two had been arrested for alleged possession of drugs. Concern was raised about the money that had been in their possession during the arrest, but the officer stated that no money had been officially recorded or booked as evidence. It was also indicated that the arresting officers were no longer present at the station, as their shift had already ended. The situation has raised questions about the handling of both the arrest and the missing cash.
