FGM prevalence remain highest in remote and hard-to-reach villages among practicing communities. Men continue to wield immense influence on whether girls are cut or not. We are sustaining conversations with cultural elders, mobilizing them to join the quest to #EndFGM #MenEndFGM

From Johannesburg, powerful conversations on childcare, women’s empowerment, and early childhood development reaffirmed one truth; investing in children is investing in the future of our economies and societies. Proud to see Kenya actively contributing to regional solutions that strengthen families, empower women, and create better opportunities for every child across Africa. #Childcare #ECD #WomenEmpowerment #AfricaRising

Vihiga’s PAG Women Conference highlighted the transformative power of equipping women through training, unity, and shared purpose. It reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to empowering women as pillars of our families and drivers of a better society, while the Church continues to strengthen their spiritual foundation. We extend our sincere appreciation to Equity Afya, @PAG_Kenya1 , Bishop Kenneth Adiara, Rev. Lydiah Wanjiah and other stakeholders for their steadfast support and partnership in advancing this shared vision for a stronger, more inclusive society.

Demonstrating compassion through action, together with the PAG Church led by Rev. Lydiah Wanjiah and DG Lucy Anangwe, we inspected the ongoing construction of dignified homes for widows and widowers in Nyang’ori, Vihiga County. Joined by Women Brigade leadership from Uasin Gishu and Nandi Counties, this initiative reflects our shared commitment to restoring hope and uplifting lives. Empowered communities are built through collective action. #CommunityImpact #WomenInLeadership

The Nyan’gori Women Conference 2026, a five-day gathering, brought together nearly 10,000 women in a powerful movement of empowerment and transformation. From wellbeing and financial access through group formation to training on land rights, women were equipped to secure their futures. Beyond knowledge, the conference offered deep spiritual nourishment and provided essential materials; delivering both inspiration and real, lasting impact.

In Nyan’gori, together with the PAG Church Kenya leadership, I helped transform the Women’s Conference into real impact, facilitating safe and dignified shelter for widows and a widower, providing food support, and restoring dignity. More than a gathering, it became a lifeline and a true testament to compassionate leadership of the PAG Church.

Honored to address the Judiciary 2026 Mediation Summit at Strathmore University. Mediation is transforming access to justice in Kenya—resolving disputes faster, restoring families, and unlocking economic value, especially for women. A good settlement is always better than a long tedious court dispute. #MediationSummit2026 #AccessToJustice

A reflective session with Amb. Dr. Monica Juma as she formally hands over the responsibilities of the National Security Adviser to Mr. Joseph Boinnet at the University of Nairobi. In her remarks, Ambassador Juma shared thoughtful reflections on collective global engagement and reaffirmed Kenya’s enduring commitment to shaping a responsive and inclusive rules-based international order.

Attended the Fanikisha Nairobi CBD Cluster Customer Engagement Forum under the theme “Empowering Her Next,” in the company of Mr. Moses Nyabanda, Managing Director, Equity Bank Kenya; Ms. Mary Mungai, GM Nairobi East Region; and @SilpahOwich, Head of Women & Youth Banking. I was encouraged by the strong focus on advancing women’s economic empowerment through financial literacy and enterprise development. Women are key drivers of our economy, yet many continue to face barriers to finance and market access. We must move beyond inclusion and deliberately position women as credible, bankable, and investable partners in development. I commend the partnerships driving this agenda and reaffirm the need to accelerate opportunities for women to grow, scale, and lead.

Mama, Hon. Prof. @juliaojiambo , PhD, CBS, EBS, a trustee of the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya, is a great example in our nation of the power of women in leadership. She holds a decorated career that reflects a lifetime of trailblazing leadership in education, governance, and community development, making her one of Kenya’s most respected pioneers in public life. I was honoured to host Mama Julia Ojiambo today for lunch, and we look forward to her mentorship and wisdom as we build the nation.
