It’s another Sunday morning and I’ve been up reminiscing. I miss 6am service at st James Awada, listening to Ven Ofoegbu man the pulpit. I miss Faith clinic st marks Omagba, Evang. Marcel Emeh, Evang. Solomon ilouno, made my childhood. I miss knighthood investitures and ordinations at All saints cathedral. I miss just being nwa Ok photos. I miss Anglican hymns, I miss how it sends me into a trance almost every time I have to sit still and listen. I miss cuddling my camera alongside my dad, strutting the aile looking for perfect angles to take my shots while the whole laity is seated in eerie silence. I miss my altercations with the ushers and their eye service to please the clergy while trying to scuttle my daily bread, nothing taught me nkwechiri than those moments. Genuinely can’t remember my last time in church, maybe photography exposed me to the dark side and politics of the clergy, or perhaps the music (hymns) was the main attraction for me after all. Be that as it may, I can’t deny the role it played in my formative years and the bread it put on the table for my family. My foray into secular music, liberal life and tradition does not erase the years my life and bread revolved around the church; the Anglican Church in particular. God bless Ven Owen Nwokolo and the entire Diocese on the Niger. We’re interwoven in history forever. Happy Sunday DIE HARDs. LUX FIAT.

As part of my itinerary in Bauchi state yesterday Thursday 23rd, 2026, after visiting, Madarasatu Intisharul Islam Qismu Tahfizul, Qur'an, Yelwa, I visited Malikiya College of Nursing Sciences, Bauchi. I had visited the institution in the past and donated 10 million naira which they used to set up their ICT computer centre, which I was impressed to see alongside their increased student intake. During my visit, I donated another 10million naira. Health is critical for development and we must invest in the human infrastructure needed for that development. A new Nigeria is POsssible. -PO
