Everybody living in these communities deserves answers, and every concern should go through the proper legal and environmental process. That means permits for air, water, noise, temperature, and full disclosure before anything gets built. But after our Utah project was approved, a wave of misinformation started spreading claims that we’re draining the Great Salt Lake, stealing Utah’s power, or building something the size of Manhattan. None of it is true. We’re building our own power generation, following the law, and creating thousands of jobs and major tax revenue for Utah communities. So I started asking where all this coordinated opposition was coming from. That led us to organizations like Alliance for a Better Utah and funding networks connected through groups like Arabella. After reviewing IRS filings and conducting audits, I became convinced that foreign linked money, including interests connected to China, is helping fuel efforts to slow power generation and data center development in the United States.

America can’t win the AI and energy race if we let bad actors hijack honest local debates. Communities should decide what’s built in their backyard, but they deserve facts, transparency, and freedom from foreign-funded disinformation campaigns trying to weaken us. foxnews.com/politics/agita…

We uncovered something far bigger than I ever expected. After seeing coordinated false attacks against the Utah data center project, we brought in an advanced data science team to trace where the content was coming from and the results were shocking. What we found led back to organized networks, political activist groups, and funding trails tied to massive international entities. We dug through IRS 990 filings, tracked IP data from around the world, and uncovered what appears to be a coordinated campaign targeting energy and data center projects across multiple regions. I shared 90 pages of evidence with federal law enforcement and raised concerns directly with contacts at the White House. This isn’t speculation. The filings, funding records, dates, and connections are documented. There’s a coordinated PR war happening around energy infrastructure and data centers, and we’re not going to ignore it.

Q: How are job postings for software engineers rising rapidly despite AI agents automating coding? A: Because there’s far more code to manage than ever before. We’re already seeing a 14x YoY increase in GitHub commits, and it’s accelerating. AI has dramatically lowered the cost of writing code, so it’s now being used across far more businesses, applications, and use cases. We’re at the beginning of a massive productivity boom driven by the proliferation of bespoke software throughout the entire economy. Coding has been AI’s breakout use case this year. The fact that it’s increased demand for software engineers — rather than decreased it — should call into question the entire “AI will cause mass job loss” narrative.

The successes of the last year will be the foundations of a century of innovation. The reforms and actions @POTUS’s nuclear EOs signed 1 year ago called for are not merely an evolution in American energy infrastructure, they are bringing about a revolution for American power.

Marc Andreessen on the question at the center of data center discourse & why it's so important: "Can you build anything in America anymore? Can you build a factory? Can you build a chip plant? Can you build a power plant? Can you build a refinery? Can you build a pipeline? Can you build housing?" "One of the common themes in American life for the last 30 years is the answer to those questions is generally, no, you can't do any of those things." "Take as an example, Silicon Valley, right? So all the chips are made in Taiwan. Well, 40 years ago, all the chips were made in California." "Can you build things in America? Can you build a factory? Can you build an energy plant? Can you build a data center? Can you build housing?" "And on every single one of those, there's this massive problem which is, right now in many cases, in many places, no you can't." @pmarca with @joerogan

From zoning fights in rural counties to rate design battles at state utility commissions, the future of American AI leadership is increasingly being shaped not in Washington but in city halls and state capitols. Getting local policy right is not optional. It is essential.
The Competitive Comms and AI Infrastructure Assoc.@INCOMPAS

Data centers generate vital tax revenue, support local jobs, and anchor our AI future—yet they remain America’s most misunderstood infrastructure asset. Check out the latest from @INCOMPAS CEO @ChipPickering in @BroadbandCensus as he explores how we can change the conversation around infrastructure and keep America at the forefront of innovation.👇 broadbandbreakfast.com/chip-pickering…

$15 billion. Missouri. Google's Montgomery County data center investment creates thousands of construction jobs during the build period and hundreds of direct long-term operational roles once the facility is running. But the multiplier effect is what stands out: every direct position generates nearly nine additional roles locally, spanning HVAC, maintenance, specialized construction, and landscaping. What makes this different from a typical infrastructure announcement is the deliberate investment in the people doing the work: . Google is partnering with the Construction Laborers and Contractors Joint Training Fund of Eastern Missouri to train more than 2,300 construction laborers, including 1,500 apprentices, over the next two years. . The Skilled Trades and Readiness (STAR) Program in Kansas City has already graduated nearly 130 Missourians, with most now employed in construction or trade roles. . Google is expanding K-12 STEAM programs to build the pipeline years before those students enter the workforce. The responsible design piece also deserves attention. The Montgomery County facility uses advanced air-cooling technology, limiting water use to kitchens and similar functions. Google replenishes more freshwater than it consumes through the Missouri SWAN Smart Irrigation Initiative, which helps farms reduce runoff and protect surface and groundwater. On energy, Google is paying 100% of the power and infrastructure costs tied to its operations, consistent with Senate Bill 4. The $20 million Energy Impact Fund directly addresses household energy bills in Montgomery, Clay, Platte, and surrounding counties. This is what thoughtful, large-scale infrastructure investment looks like. Strong community partnerships, workforce pipelines built before the doors open, and design standards that treat the surrounding community as a long-term stakeholder.
Governor Mike Kehoe@GovMikeKehoe

Today, we announced a historic $15 BILLION investment in Missouri from @Google. This project is about more than infrastructure in Montgomery County—it's about connectivity. Connecting communities to opportunity, workers to good-paying jobs, and Missouri to the future economy.

incredible that so many politicians are going to war against data centers in America. The contributions to economic growth and tax revenues are absolutely astonishing. They're ready to kill the goose laying the golden eggs.

The fiercest battles over data centers aren't happening in D.C., they’ve moved to township boards and county commissions. Join me this Wednesday at 12 PM ET for @BroadbandCensus Live Online as we discuss "The Politics of Data Centers". We’ll cover the digital divide, grid upgrades, and why the first step to data center construction must begin with honest, evidence-based community engagement that utilizes facts rather than fear, to ease concerns.
