@ipaddockapps @CropDoctor54 Will these high density weed strips fast track herbicide resistance? Its hard to get a lethal dose on them all. I fear it will.

@WaddiPark Don’t seed too early and look at a lower plant density to reduce canopy humidity later in the season. Wide rows worth considering. Otherwise Veritas before canopy closure if season is conducive. Lupin Sclero was terrible last year.

What’s your plan of attack for sclerotinia in lupins?

Using 2020 Gross Margins to assess the 2022 impact of higher fertiliser and chemical costs. Using 100% ↑ fertiliser price and 25% ↑ herbicide cost and todays pricing for grains, gross margins would be higher than 2020 for cereals and canola and lower for lupins.

@davidhu40776911 @Bernie0427 This trial was about 6 years ago and we’ve learnt a bit about N rates in hybrid canola since then. Should have gone to 200 units of N.

@ChittyDarren @Bernie0427 You couldn’t be bothered to hand spread more urea to top out the N curve Chitts?

Generally speaking - canola planted prior to the cyclone (11/4) is firing in WA. On this farm This 4022P on fallow or lupin stubble is sitting on between 25 and 46kg N. It’s about to get a dose of urea prior to be being too late for the spreader due to the canola about to bolt.

Prosulfocarb sprayed post-emergent on oats? I have seen very little, but hear many success stories. I'd like to learn what everyone is experiencing. Please leave comments on rate used, stage of the oats when sprayed, and observations of the results.
