Delighted Captain Croft and his @British_Airways crew has landed in the UK, bringing home a full plane of 275 passengers from Peru. Two more repatriation flights will leave Lima for London today.

@LD542 @AndrewTuffield I think the themes are: reacted too late to wave of international isolation (late travel advice); poor communication from embassies and consulates; call centres not able to cope; over reliance on self help flights when borders closing; little empathy from majority of MPs in UK

The UK government need to pull there finger from where it is firmly planted and start to get food parcels, medication etc to these poor isolated people and get the lucky remainder of trapped citizens BACK HOME NOW!!!!!

Food like here in the UK is short! @kate_harrisson @UKinPeru DO NOT keep them updated with useful information, the mental health of these people is reducing, we can see this first hand as we FaceTime our girls. GET THEM HOME NOW! Or at least give us a plan! @BBCWorld @BBCNews

The situation is not getting better! My daughters had their temperatures taken before being allowed into the supermarket by military officials. What would have happened to them if it was high!! The locals blame the Europeans for bringing Covid 19 into their country.

@kate_harrisson Get real! This is just what should have happened days ago! After all of this is resolved I think the government need to look at who they have as ambassador and have a serious rethink!! The private sector would have this situation resolved!
