@ChrisJT23 @SkySportsNews We didn’t. But I’m not gonna argue that Baines didn’t play elite level football. Ridiculous but you have your views.

Coming up on #SkySportsFC this morning... ☕️ Who’s winning the Premier League title & why? 🏆 Is Arsenal’s match against Bournemouth their biggest of the season? 🔴 Should Enzo Fernandez play against Man City after apology? 🔵 If Morgan Rogers leaves Aston Villa – where should he go? 🟣 Is Andy Robertson the Premier League’s greatest left back? 🤔

@ChrisG01 @SkySportsNews When did he play Madrid Barcelona Bayern in the prem? Also playing against them doesn’t necessarily prove he’s on the same level. How many times did he win away at Liverpool, United, Chelsea or Arsenal - is it 0?

@ChrisJT23 @SkySportsNews But if he played those teams in the premier league surely that’s the same As playing them in a different comp!? Or what you are saying is he had to play Cluj or Midjtelland etc to be considered “elite”? 😂😂

A Restore Britain Government would immediately reverse Labour's cruel VAT raid on private schools. It is leading to school closures, job losses and more pupils being forced into state schools that simply cannot cope with the additional demand - everyone then suffers, obviously. With so many students now being lumped into state schools that are already struggling, what's the result for children in those institutions? Less teacher time and stretched resources. Worse outcomes. We're told the funds raised are being used to 'support public services'. Total bollocks and we all know it. The staggering lack of any logic from this Government is so painful. Labour's private school VAT raid is really nasty politics. Restore Britain would reverse it.

@SkySportsNews You missed Baines who was probably in the top two. Defensively not quite as good as Cole, but soooo much better going forward! But he didn’t play for a @SkySportsNews darling, so doesn’t get mentioned.

You idiots that seem intent on bringing Starmer down haven't got a fucking clue. The man just gets on with the job. He's very admirable indeed.
Connie Nolan@feistywomankent

#bbcpm Starmer, Cooper brought together 40 countries 3 days ago to discuss how to tackle the war started by Trump. No daily tweets, just careful negotiations and a joint statement with European countries, EU, Canada and Japan. Now he’s in Saudi meeting troops on the front line

@Mad_Pieman @KitPeacock Grief. Take a look at the top state schools, clearly ensuring selective people can apply as you need to buy a £££££ house within metres and see how many of the rich are there. Then come back. 😂😂

Odd that having to pay tax, like any organisation that makes a surplus, so may have gone to the wall. As a govonor what charitable activities does your school do? Or just provide paid education
Joe Nutt@joenutt_author

@Mad_Pieman @Liberalscribble Indeed, and having been a governor in one for many years and worked in many, many more & extensively in the State sector too; I can tell you they do that very skilfully and way more professionally than you will find in the State sector. The all work hard to stay in the black.

Apart from the fact that they have been losing money since 2020 and there are now twelve more private schools than there were in 2024, Richard Stupid Tice is absolutely correct.

@deGourlay This is a daft take. No one in their right mind thinks Labour actively wants schools to close because of hatred. Just nonsense. If people can’t afford it they only need to cut down on coffee and avocados don’t they? That’s how it works isn’t it?

This government is evil. There is no other word for it. They knew this would happen. They wanted it to happen. It's not simply the politics of envy. It's the politics of hatred. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

Capping student loan interest may help at the margins, but it misses the bigger point. Education should be free for all. In one of the richest countries on earth, we should not be putting young people into debt and then penalising them for it. We should abolish tuition fees and expand apprenticeships and other pathways into secure work.

For every £1 boomers pay in tax, they will receive £1.20 in benefits. The state pension should be scrapped. No ifs, no buts, scrapped.

@SkySportsPL @SkySportsNews No wonder the @premierleague wanted to change their own rules of £105m over 3 years. Protects these guys and their other golden clubs. This should be a massive points deduction, but doubt they will get anything, like their last 2 fines for breaking the rules

If there aren’t sanctions imposed and a points deduction impending, for a £262million loss, we may as all give up. There is absolutely not a chance a figure of that nature can be PSR compliant. Chelsea also had a £155m loss in 2023.
