🚨 BREAKING: COREWEAVE WALKS FROM 2GW TEXAS DATA CENTER
Poolside’s Project Horizon just lost $CRWV as anchor tenant and its $2B Nvidia-led funding round at the same time.
The deal collapsed after Poolside couldn’t stand up its first GPU cluster to CoreWeave’s timeline. The capital followed the compute provider out the door.
Now Poolside is in talks with Google and others to salvage it.
The site is still real. 568 acres, 10GW ceiling, Permian Basin. They just need a new anchor.

He was 6’5, a massive power hitter, and launched 49 home runs as a rookie in 1987 while still relatively lean, around 225. He was not some overnight chemistry experiment.
And let’s be honest, PED use was hardly unique to him. A huge number of pro athletes were using, including across @MLB .
What made McGwire different was that he was a hyper responder with elite genetics, absurd raw power, and a freakish ability to hit baseballs into another zip code. PEDs helped, sure, but he was a legitimate home run destroyer either way.
And for a young teenager, nothing in sports felt more exciting to watch.
Nothing in modern @MLB has come close to the summer of 1998, watching McGwire and Sammy Sosa chase history, then watching Barry Bonds in 2001.
It was not just the numbers. It was nightly drama, packed stadiums, anticipation every at bat, and the feeling that something unreal could happen every single night.
