Are all new videogames coming out using real time LLMs for realistic interactive NPCs? If not, why not? Is it a matter of time? Of cost? Seems to me like a no brainer use for the technology. You shouldn’t even need good models. Stuff from a year or more ago would probably be good enough. Are there any games that use it? Any recommendations?

If I am at a job and I'm told "you are lucky to be here", thats the signal to leave. And I felt like I've been told "your lucky to have claude code" which is sad because it was opus all the way for a very long time. Been using Codex much more than Claude Code lately It's wild that Claude became popular *because* it had the best-in-class models for coding... and all it had to do was hold the lead

talking to my kid, she works at a big (BIG) fancy law firm. they are all using copilot. Silly me asks, "oh which models do you get to pick from?"... "None, its just copilot". And thats how normies are using AI. In a law firm. Whose cases and clients are all over the news all the time.

normies hate AI this has similar vibes to microsoft copilot, google could have focused on the quality of their hardware and affordability idk if this is a good idea tbh

I’m very familiar with testing lifecycles, I’ve been a VP of Engineering. Proper testing has nothing to do with a rigid release cycle. It has everything to do with proper automated processes, especially in this age of agents and ability to automate things even better. I’d trust more a release more process which is fully automated with proper testing and release when things are ready with gates, than a fixed release cycle which puts more pressure on teams.

For Codex, we’ve been thinking about keeping a stable release cadence and have a larger release each week on Thursday. That does make the start of the week and bit less exciting. Thoughts?
