Democratic Alliance Tshwane mayoral candidate Cilliers Brink criticises Mayor Nasiphi Moya and ActionSA in the City of Tshwane, claiming she is effectively “fronting for an ANC power grab.” He says spending on water tankers rose sharply under her leadership and alleges ActionSA kept an ANC-linked figure in a key finance role despite concerns about tanker tenders. Brink argues this shows why the DA warns voters against relying on smaller opposition parties in coalition governments. #DAcongress2026

Elon Musk
Elon Musk@elonmusk·
South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

I'm not sure what's being said here, but can we join our brains and try to understand what's being said about the EFF's new Finance MEC? Is this an ANC strategy or what? True, the writing was on the wall when Panyaza Lesufi protected him 🤷.

ANC Veterans League Slams Gauteng Premier’s Appointment of EFF's Nkululeko Dunga as Finance MEC The ANC Veterans League has expressed serious reservations about Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s latest reshuffle of the Gauteng Provincial Cabinet, particularly the appointment of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) provincial leader Nkululeko Dunga as MEC for Finance. In a strongly worded statement, the league warned that placing the province’s R179-billion budget in the hands of an EFF cadre raises major questions about governance, accountability, and financial prudence. The criticism comes amid ongoing cooperation between the ANC and EFF in Gauteng following the 2024 national and provincial elections, in which no single party secured an outright majority in the province. Premier Lesufi, who leads a minority ANC government that relies on support from smaller parties including the EFF, has defended the move as part of efforts to stabilise the province’s finances and deliver on key service delivery priorities. However, the Veterans League made up of long-standing ANC members who fought in the liberation struggle argues that the appointment undermines the ANC’s own oversight role and risks exposing the province’s finances to untested leadership. The league’s intervention highlights deepening tensions within the ANC over its post-election partnerships, especially with the EFF. As Gauteng grapples with challenges ranging from transport and housing backlogs, the public will be watching closely to see whether the new Finance MEC can deliver results or whether the Veterans League’s concerns prove prescient.

The MEC of Finance Nkululeko Dunga has proposed that Amapanyaza be repurposed as Formal Security Guards in our Hospitals and schools across Gauteng . This is a progressive proposal, it will save Jobs and do away with Tenders of SANCO members.
