The reason this matters is that a significant number of people who are supposed to be working for the government are doing so little work that they are not checking their email at all! In some cases, we believe non-existent people or the identities of dead people are being used to collect paychecks. In other words, there is outright fraud.

@ClassicII_MrMac I was curious… I remade the 13.1 usb installer from scratch. Something with the language selector is broken. I suppose this letting into boot into startup disk selector and quitting it bypasses the language selector

@ClassicII_MrMac I got around it… I just powered it on and did nothing and let it failover into the startup disk selector. Then quit the disk selector and now it’s letting me do an internet install of Ventura. This whole thing is very weird though.

@ClassicII_MrMac Something wrong with 13.1 recovery? I wiped my Mac in disk utility, rebooted and did the activation. Then shutdown and booted into a USB installer. Now I’m stuck at the language selection and after clicking next it locks up / pinwheels / mouse moves slow
