@OKCPS It was an honor to attend her retirement party and be present when she was inducted into the Oklahoma Educators Hall of Fame in 2015. She passed away last year but her legacy lives on. #oklaed

We had a classroom newsletter and she arranged for us to interview then @okcps Superintendent Dr. Tom Payzant. He went on to become kind of a big deal as superintendent in Boston. It was quite a thrill to interview him when I became a real reporter. #oklaed

For me, it was my second grade @okcps teacher Betty Wright. She was one of those teachers who colored outside the lines and made every student believe in their potential. #oklaed

Our marriage turned 28 today! 💕

Today, the Board of County Commissioners awarded the contract for architectural design of the new county jail to HOK, a global design firm with extensive experience in jail design and public safety campuses. This is a huge step forward for us and I am thrilled we chose HOK.
