@ChtinoisA @ConspiracyBull1 I'm sorry, do u know what roc and prc stands for? if u know that roc means republic of china and prc means people's republic of china, it becomes quite hard to mental gymnastics your way into thinking taiwan's constitution is referring to the latter china instead of the former

I agree, countries should be free to run themselves without foreign meddling. That's literally the point. Taiwan already does. Glad we agree that Taiwan should be left alone to run itself without a forced Chinese takeover.
gato fumante@KweenInYellow

@ConspiracyBull1 Eh most of this stuff is just State Department propaganda brainwashing. Countries should be permitted to run themselves as they wish without mine meddling in their affairs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@RnaudBertrand It’s also an admission that Taiwan is a vassal state of the US. They could buy arms elsewhere, but they can’t because they need the US deterrence projection. Such an irony for a country claiming to be independent and sovereign.

There is a hilarious irony here as "foreign forces" is practically a stock phrase from PRC official discourse whenever they wanted to denounce US interference in Taiwan. And now it's the DPP president saying it. About US interference in Taiwan. You couldn't make it up 😅
AFP News Agency@AFP

BREAKING Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te says "foreign forces" cannot decide the democratic island's future. Lai's remarks came days after US President Donald Trump suggested arms sales to Taiwan could be used as a bargaining chip with China

@Meehaul @teortaxesTex @maycontainnuts7 @Jebus Your nation deport and kill protesters, has a uniparty working for Israel, cancel speech you don’t like, limit media access or ban them, deny election results, growing Islamophobia, literally built in the back of chattel slavery. China doesn’t pretend to be a democracy, you do.

@NCNancy257827 @ConspiracyBull1 What don’t you understand in “ROC claims ownership of Mainland and states Taiwan is part of China on their own constitution”? Are you medically stupid?

@ChtinoisA @ConspiracyBull1 Like u said, they were one country before the japanese invasion. They no longer are now. The japanese invasion had already split them into two separate countries. Giant empires breaking down after military conflicts has never been a rare sight throughout history

@NCNancy257827 @ConspiracyBull1 They were the same country before the japanese invasion. Whether it's PRC or ROC is a moot argument. The fact that ROC claims ownership of Mainland and enshrined Taiwan as part of China, and that most countries recognize the one-china policy debunks your failed argument.

@ConspiracyBull1 The US doesn't care about a war btw China v Taiwan, they only cared about using TW as a pawn to contain the expansion of communism. Talk about preserving TW's self-determination when 4 different US admins shot down their attempt at proclaiming independence.

The US supporting an allied state that wants to be supported to preserve its own self determination via deterring a war vs China wanting to use military force to take over that state and destroy that self determination. Tankies: ''The former is meddling and the other is not''.
Alain@ChtinoisA

@ConspiracyBull1 That's the point. The China/Taiwan conflict is an unresolved internal affair. The ones meddling are the US and ignorant people like you. By your own logic, you should stfu

@FluidEyes @ConspiracyBull1 The formation of modern Taiwan is a direct consequence of the internal civil war between the CCP and the KMT, both claiming governance over China. Your miserable analogy only managed to debunk your obvious lack of intellectual curiosity, let alone being completely off point.

Every Taiwanese attempt at proclaiming independence has been shot down by the US, who recognizes the One China policy. The maintenance of the strategic ambiguity is a policy to contain the expansion of communism. So yes, it is meddling and nothing to do with a supposed alliance.

@NCNancy257827 @ConspiracyBull1 Taiwan is where the fascist KMT retreated to after losing a civil war against against CCP. So it’s absolutely an internal affair. Cope and open a history book.

Whether we like it or not, we are in a North-South confrontation, despite efforts to avoid one. The Philippines will be dragged into a China-Taiwan conflict not only because it is allied with the US. but also because of its geographical, political, and economic situation.

The Philippines would likely be involved in any potential conflict over Taiwan due to its proximity, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said, reiterating a stance that risks riling up Beijing bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@kendouhua @ConspiracyBull1 It's partially true. But then the US deliberately took Taiwan under protectorate and introduced the strategic ambiguity policy to contain China. So you just admitted the US meddling in what was a Chinese civil war.

Peter Navarro: "People should read more about what China actually writes. They do it all in Chinese and they think people aren't looking at it because we're barbarians, but it's all there for us to see." (Note how CNBC has just given him an open mic to rant with no pushback on anything.)
