So you, the taxpayer, hear this and only THINK that @DanielLurie is going to get tough on addicts doing drugs and committing crime. Well, that’s a big NO! What he’s going to do is create a new mandated TAX scheme and raid the general fund to HOUSE addicts in hotels, housing meant for veterans, and unused/unsold homes, while also likely providing an emergency expenditure on “free” drugs and paraphernalia to GIVE to addicts so they can stay in their free rooms and houses and get high. Do NOT think for a minute that this leftist democrat is going to arrest and round up these addicts and force them into court-mandated rehabilitation programs or in-prison drug treatment programs. THAT would be a more truly effective method for dealing with this problem in the long term, so NO WAY would a democrat do that. No, instead these democrats will use subterfuge, distraction, and the illusion of “public good and safety” to develop another multi-BILLION dollar tax scheme to spend Spend SPEND on themselves and other pet projects that have nothing to do with crime nor drug addiction. Things I have noticed about San Francisco: The SF Paradox - It is the most innovative city on earth where nothing gets done fast - It is The most expensive place to live where everyone is always raising money but always broke - Its is Full of the most ambitious people you've ever met who are also the most burnt out you've ever seen - A place where strangers will change your life and you'll never learn their last name - A city everyone threatens to leave and nobody actually leaves

Maybe San Francisco should allow more homes so people can afford to live there.
