@ArtemR @madebygoogle @MousCase I don’t think it’s worth drawing attention to.
James, Josh, and Lucy fronted a British success story that Google shouldn’t be able to take a shine off.

So did everyone at @madebygoogle Store forget about the @MousCase cases and mounts for the Pixel 8 Pro (and Pixel 7?)? They're still listed as "Join wishlist."

Life update: today is my last day at @Sketchfab & Epic Games 👋 💙
Building Sketchfab has been the adventure of a lifetime, for which I am forever grateful. The Sketchfab team is truly unique, a perfect mix of talent and kindness that I will miss. Special thanks to @trigrou & @pierreant_p, who were great co-founders. I'm proud of what we accomplished, from a simple 3D viewer to a community of over 15M members today, and a product being integrated with the Fortnite ecosystem.
Being part of Epic Games was quite inspiring as well, particularly working on projects at Fortnite scale, and I'm grateful for that opportunity. I'm super bullish on the outlooks for Epic, especially as they roll out Lego Fortnite, UEFN, Fab, collaborate with Disney and come back on mobile. I'm excited to remain a supporter & shareholder from the outside. Special thanks to @mpetit, @smiglio & @TimSweeneyEpic for welcoming me into the Epic world.
On my end, I want to go back to zero and start something again. I'm exploring a number of spaces, including climate tech and health, with a focus on hardware. I imagine it must be hard but quite gratifying to build a brand around a physical product.
I will also keep angel investing, my main thesis being to invest in founders I know well enough to trust their talent.
And finally, I am happy to now have more time to dedicate to my family and to creative hobbies (woodworking, sewing... and scanning all of it of course 🙂 ).
My main email from now on: alban at denoyel.com
Ps: here is the farewell gift I got from the team yesterday, which I mounted next to my Epic 10 year plate. It features iconic Sketchfab models:

@flarb Oh boy, I nearly got into this thread instead of going to bed.

Kevin Edwards ( Retro Videogame development )@KevEdwardsRetro
Three great, classic BBC Micro arcade inspired games published by Acornsoft in 1982. Planetoid ( Defender ), Rocket Raid ( Scramble ) and Arcadians ( Galaxians ). Which was your favourite? I played Planetoid so much! It was such a great conversion by the late Neil Raine.
English

@ryanmhickman Oh boy, wait until you hear about how Google dropped the ball on spatial computing.

There’s no conversational AI today that’s *enjoyable* to have a conversation with. Not even close.

@djmk 😂 I remember the last time I was there they gave us a hard time making ham sandwiches to go! You might have been with us 🤣

@arstechnica I wanted a straight-shooting reality check about this thing. I was intrigued (not cynical), and this article highlights some realities.
Consequently I realized that @RonAmadeo provided some of the best content I got on Twitter and I didn’t already follow @arstechnica. I miss RSS.

@sterlingcrispin In particular: anyone casting aspersions and thinking this is some kind of alternate reality game requiring NFT’s from an entity that can’t spell their own URL correctly on their voicemail needs to stay quiet.
English

@sterlingcrispin I appreciate the clarity and recognize you may have felt forced to make this kind of public statement - it’s not right and anyone contributing to your feeling personal pressure should be ashamed.

I'd like to clear the air regarding some recent press.
- Del Complex is a legally recognized corporation.
- I work there full time as a researcher.
- I don't deal in satire. If you know me, you know I'm a sincere person with intense conviction.
- Del Complex produces tangible, digital, intangible, rhizomatic, and hyperstitional products.
- Del Complex is self described as an alternate reality corporation. It's your role to navigate that and the nature of their products.
Some prior statements I've made have been taken out of context, words have been put in my mouth, and general misinformation was spread. Hopefully the statements above clarify some of the confusion caused by those events.
