In our league the play stops when the ball gets back to the pitcher. So getting it back in fast is everything!
Our team was struggling with it so I came up with this game on the fly. One practice. Fixed. And the kids were BEGGING to play it again!
Here's how it works:
⚾ Two teams. Defense takes their positions.
⚾ Hit through the full order with a tennis racket and tennis ball.
⚾ Every base touched before the ball gets back to the pitcher = 1 point.
⚾ For example: Pitcher secures the ball between second and third? 2 points.
⚾ Out at first before runner gets there or fly ball caught? Zero points.
⚾ Score and keep running if the ball still isn't back. The play never stops until the pitcher has it in the pitchers circle .
Works on getting the ball back in fast, backing up throws, base running, communication, and teamwork.
We saw a massive difference the very next game!

Did Ray Tanner not inform him that there would be pressure to win here? He coached at LSU, so he had to be aware of similar expectations here. I question how long he expected us to wait for wins considering his age, sounds like cope to me.

I agree the moon shot expectation also can’t be made from this data set. Ultimately I think the shifting NIL playing field makes it hard to draw conclusions from the data while schools sort out how best to operate in NIL.

And then there’s a significant system change and we have a 3 year data set where it’s highly correlated way below average with 0 outliers. I’m not saying it definitive but I still expect a 56

@GfedGoCrazy @avidsportsrdr That’s not how trend lines work. You can’t project off of 3 samples and project “well it shoot to the moon”. You’d have lines going every which way. Next year I’d expect the average of the three, 56. Not the moon shot of 67.

**In 7 innings** we threw 6 pitchers that gave up a combined 12 walks, 6 home runs, 2 doubles, and 14 hits.
216 pitches with 106 balls!!! That’s the worst stat line I’ve ever seen. And this was only a 7 inning affair. Thank god it’s over. It is inexcusable to have 6 pitchers on an SEC staff on a Friday night in league play that combined can’t even break 51% strikes thrown in 216 pitches.
Worst pitching performance I’ve ever seen in any Carolina baseball game in my life. In no world can this staff be permitted to finish the season.
I don’t know what the answers are with having interims or who they’d be, but Mr. Sam would be a better option than PM and TR.

Because the USA is denominated in miles. There are 640 acres in a square mile. 640 can be divided by 2 easily. A square half mile is 160 acres, a square 1/4 mile is 40 acres, a square 1/8 mile is 10 acres. Nobody in America knows what a kilometer is, let alone a hectare

Not coming from an agricultural background, some measurements don’t make intuitive sense to me. A Hectares are easy enough to come to terms with: 10,000 square meters. Easy. An acre?! I still can’t wrap my head around this…

The Jurassic Park Discovery Center being fully explorable at Islands of Adventure is a lost art-form of theme park design.
Nowadays a space like this would be locked behind an E-Ticket queue, and people would go "Wow, this is a ride queue?!?!".
