@LuciaPacioli Just got off a similar call with a new CFO who is just now learning what a micro-captive is despite having invested in one last year. Luckily I’m not filing the captive’s return but the initial 8886 draft should be interesting

@andreacpa0 This season has been one to cry about. Not sure about anyone else but it has been more brutal than usual. The number of times someone has answered a question by updating QBO or sending a new backup after we are almost finished is unbelievable.

@DailyTaxMemes That is BS....most underwriters don't understand anything other than a basic return anyway. They also want to pass the buck on anything they can.

Reportedly the gun used in the Old Dominion attack was not legally acquired.
It's almost like criminals don't follow the "common sense" gun laws statists say will fix everything.
Shocker...

@GovernorVA You just passed laws to criminalize law abiding gun owners and others to shorten the punishment for those who have already committed crimes. The sooner we start using the death penalty on violent criminals and traitors the sooner we will be safer.
English

@d_lamle It never gets your WH right either. It is either way over or way under. Speaking of overcomplicated.....have you looked at the tax regs lately. The whole thing needs a simplification and overhaul.
English

@andreacpa0 Just stop taking photos of documents. I don't care the format. Just stop because I cant read them. Just bring it in or scan a quality PDF like any other normal person. While we are at it.....dont text me the photo either.
English

@AGJayJones You sure about that....or are you chugging water so you have a full bladder?
English

@GovernorVA Gosh, if only we had made ODU a gun free zone it would have prevented this disaster.
English

@taxpreptech But the more accounts I have the more wealthy I am.

I’m bullish on AI. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve been researching ways to speed up accounting for my own companies and for clients. But in this process I have realized a lot of people are missing the whole “Source of Truth” concept in accounting.
Bank Feeds ≠ Books
Reports ≠ Records
AI ≠ automatic proper bookkeeping
This maybe irrelevant to some small businesses. But it is not irrelevant to all (big or small).
Accounting only works when there is one single system of record. Automation is great, but if we don’t clearly define the source of truth, we’re just moving inconsistencies faster.
Accounting has to:
Be reconciled
Be explained
Be corrected
Be relied on
This requires control, not just calculations. Control exists when there is:
An authoritative place the numbers are created.
Clear rules.
Traceability.
Without that, we don’t have accounting. We have data aggregation.

The evidence is clear, this is not a Tomahawk
Iran alleged that an American Tomahawk Cruise Missile hit a school (buried in an IRGC compound) in southern Iran, killing 165 people.
Analysis of a newly released video tells a different story.
ANALYSIS:
A-I analysis confirms the wings of the munition in question sit about 40%-45% down the body of the munition. On a Tomahawk, the wings sit roughly 49%-50% down the body of the munition.
The wing to body ratio of the munition in question matches an Iranian Kh-55–derived Land Attack Cruise Missile.
Further, the video shows the munition in a steep dive angle for the final attack phase. This places the attack angle at approximately 70%, which is the max attack angle for a Tomahawk.
The attack angle does not match the KH-55. That angle maxes out at about 55 degrees. So what would have caused this?
CONCLUSION:
The wing positioning alone makes the munition impossible to be a Tomahawk. The attack angle is at the max of the Tomahawk's capabilities. The typical attack angle for a Tomahawk is much lower than 70 degrees. The typical angle is between 20-45 degrees.
This is due to the flight pattern of Tomahawks. They fly very low horizontally to the ground, often only 50-100 meters AGL to avoid detection and interception. In order to achieve that attack angle, the missile would have had to gain altitude several kilometers away, this would leave it vulnerable for interception. This is highly unlikely on the first day of US attacks.
So what could have caused this?
Simply put, GPS jamming of an Iranian KH-55. The USA and Israel were, and continue to actively jam the Iranian airspace.
If the KH-55's signal was jammed, this could result in an uncontrollable dive. Think of GPS jamming more like disorienting the missile.
On 03/07 President Trump stated:
“No, in my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.”
Today, I concur with the President.

Carmel -200 calories
Coffee -0 calories
Seed oil creamer -400 calories
Heavy cream -300 calories
More seed oil creamer for the foam -150 calories
More Carmel on top -100 calories
Grand total -1150 calories before her first meal
I eat 1200 a day and have sweet potatoes/ beef/ chicken/ fruit.
This is why America is sick.

Woman shows her “coffee of the day”.
That “coffee” alone exceeds the amount of calories that should be consumed in an entire day.
This same lady used to make her “water of the way” and it was just straight packets of flavoring powder and sweet syrups. 🤮🤮
At a certain point, it is no longer coffee. You can’t claim to be a coffee lover while drinking terrible instant coffee and covering up the taste with sugar.

@RobertMSterling I am pro life for the unborn child who did nothing to deserve to be killed. I am pro death penalty for the rapist, murderer, pedophile, etc. Who have willingly committed a crime and waived their right to life. Not inconsistent, very compatible.
English

I used to believe this.
Then I sat on jury duty for a guy who raped and strangled a 7-year-old girl.
He was a repeat offender. He had already gone to prison for a similar crime.
I now no longer believe the death penalty is inconsistent with a pro-life worldview.

@Tactical_review Wow, A glock has a "chamber" that can hold 10 rounds! And not semi-auto either because just like your favorite nerf gun you can pull the trigger for single fire or pump a lever under the barrel for a power blast that fires all 10 at once.

@Tyler_Menzer Yes personal expenses are obvious; owner should know better. I am talking about owners and CPAs who focus so hard on saving taxes that you become penny wise and dollar foolish. I have had to rescue businesses from their own genius tax plans when bank and bonding scream.
English

@Chuckles_9 Oh, I know what it means, and the implications. More so just noting that the CPA probably knew the whole time they were being (at the very least) aggressive on personal expenses, but clearly never told the client the real risk
English

@Tyler_Menzer I always say....dont let the tax tail wag the dog!
English

@Tyler_Menzer What it means is this. You have been doing everything you can to minimize taxes and not build a balance sheet and profits a buyer will be interrested in. Getting income to zero every year may seem good on 4/15, but it does not make a buyer excited to pay you top dollar.
