There was a poll early last year which showed that the number of zoomers who would favor annexation doubled if they could convert their (meagre) assets to USD on a 1:1 basis. When you turn your country into an anonymous values-based economic zone, there's no basis for patriotism, and the youth become indifferent to your propaganda.

Poll reveals Gen Z Canadians are not boycotting U.S. travel. 61 per cent of Gen Z have the U.S. on their vacation itinerary this year, compared to just 14 per cent of Boomers nationalpost.com/news/canada/ge…

One thing that is getting lost here: the people being abused here are heroes. Individuals willing to risk this treatment to break an illegal blockade starving two-million people. No one can say their flotillas are pointless. They exposed this criminal behavior. Thank you.
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

In a second video, Ben-Gvir mocks the detained activists, saying they “came here all full of pride like big heroes. Look at them now,” before calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hand them over for long-term imprisonment. “I say to Prime Minister Netanyahu, give them to me for a long, long time. Give them to us for the terrorist prisons. That’s what it should look like,” Ben-Gvir said.

There's an even bigger issue than this, actually. "Saving money," makes almost zero sense in times of very serious inflation. You either HAVE to spend your money now, or watch as your buying power gets cut into nothing in fairly short order.
American Vatnik🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺@AmericanVatnik

The whole lunch debate is stupid because the “boomer / bootstraps” side misses the point - its not that you can’t live (or save) by eating borderline cat food, its that this country is beyond wealthy enough that no one should need to. Its not that hard

Kevin O'Leary says most people waste $15,000 a year on stupid stuff like $5 coffees "Stop buying coffee for five dollars and fifty cents" "You go to work and you spend $15 bucks on a sandwich, what are you an idiot. It costs you 99 cents to make a sandwich at home and bring it with you" "Bring your own water, your own drink or your own coffee mug. You start to add that up every day it's a ton of money" "Most people starting on their job making their first $60,000 piss away about $15,000 a year"

No you don't get it. 6.2% of my paycheck is going to subsidize your lifestyle and you are the ones enjoying the good life while telling the people paying to prop up your lifestyle to do with less. What do you think is going to happen as the economy rapidly worsens?
Bet Sobon@SobonBet

@CarolinaLion2 You don't get it. Paying $28 a day for lunch on a salary of $70K is insane. We already did our sacrifices and scrimped and saved to buy that first house. We are literally telling you how we did it. But all you have is envy and spite. You kinda deserve to fail at this point.

Americans are now bragging about the concept of lunch itself being a frivolous luxury that you really shouldn't expect to eat. And *IF* you eat lunch - stressing the *IF*! - it can just be a can of tuna or whatever. This is more insane than liberals were during the lockdowns.

@CryptoMikli I think the issue here is one of conservation of resources, which is important. For example In the future, not everyone who wants to will or necessarily should get the chance to shoot Kevin O’Leary because at some point it will be just bullets hitting other bullets

🚨 I was almost taken hostage in Cuba... I went to Cuba to document the humanitarian crisis and show life under 60+ years of communism and now amid the US blockade. Once I landed, they seized all my cameras except my iPhone and had intelligence agents following me all day until my security noticed their spies tailing us to the hotel where they waited all night for us to come down. Under communism there is no free speech, and those who show the reality or speak up are imprisoned. Me going without a planned Cuban government guide nearly got me and my security taken hostage or imprisoned. The situation in Cuba is much worse than anyone knows.

The Theology of the Paid Silence 💀✝️🇺🇦 Pilkington, Senior Research Fellow at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, Visiting Fellow at the Danube Institute, co-host of the Multipolarity podcast, self-described Catholic and bard of “Christian civilization,” is shocked. Shocked at a rude reply on X. He writes that “the politeness and morals have fallen away and we are left with this vulgarity. Shameful really.” 🇬🇧, he laments, has fallen so far. Let us speak about falling. Let us speak about what has not fallen from the lips of Philip Pilkington in four years of war. Bucha. He has not said it. The bodies in the street, hands tied behind their backs, executed at close range, documented by every credible forensic team on earth. Not a syllable. Mariupol. He has not said it. The maternity hospital. The theater with the word “children” painted in Russian-readable letters on the asphalt outside, bombed anyway, hundreds buried beneath. Not a syllable. The kidnapped children. He has not said it. Thousands of 🇺🇦 children deported to 🇷🇺 , the crime for which the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Putin himself in March of 2023. The Catholic who writes essays on mortal sin and the doctrine of hell does not consider the abduction of baptized children to merit a sentence in his prolific corpus. Irpin. Kherson torture chambers. Olenivka. The systematic rape catalogued by United Nations investigators. Cero. Not in his books, not in his podcasts, not in his bylines. What he has said is that sanctions on Russia are “suicidal,” that Ukraine 🇺🇦 should accept territorial loss, that young Europeans should not fight, that the new Hungarian government that ousted his patron is a “Brussels occupation regime.” The full corpus is a single argument with one consistent omission: the victim never appears. Now the philosophical knife, which he sharpened himself. Aristotle defined virtue as hexis, a settled disposition of character, indifferent to whose side commits the wrong. The man of virtue does not calibrate his conscience to his paymaster. He acts because the act is good, not because the silence is profitable. Pilkington has built a career performing the vocabulary of virtue while practicing its precise opposite. The only virtue he seeks is the virtue of the salary. The only good he names is the good of the man who signs the check. His piety is the piety of the till. And the theological knife, also his. In October 2024, in Sacred Probabilities, Pilkington invoked Bonhoeffer by name as the model of the Christian whose sacrifice secures salvation. Bonhoeffer!Hanged at Flossenbürg in 1945 for speaking against his own.The man who wrote that not to speak is to speak, that silence in the face of evil is itself evil and God will not hold us guiltless. Pilkington uses Bonhoeffer as a footnote while drawing a salary from a regime whose intelligence coordinates with the GRU, while defending the army that bombs Ukrainian churches and steals Ukrainian children, while invoking “Christian civilization” from a Budapest office paid for by the man Bonhoeffer would have recognized in three sentences. This is the oldest sin in the Catholic catalogue. Aquinas calls it the sin of omission. The Catechism defines mortal sin by three conditions: grave matter, full knowledge, deliberate consent. The matter is the murder of children, the rape of women, the deportation of the baptized. The knowledge is total. The consent is the salary, the fellowship, the visa, the platform. So when he asks for “politeness and morals,” he asks witnesses to whisper while perpetrators broadcast. He performs Christian civilization while subsidizing the army that crucifies it. A man of devout conduct, Gregory taught, may be saved outside the Church. A man of paid silence has chosen his Church already. Its altar is in Budapest. Its god has a 🇷🇺 address. Its martyrs are buried in Bucha, and they are not his. Hell is empty and all the devils are here. 💀

In response to my post about @RUSI_org’s assistant director celebrating my friend Lord Skidelsky’s death, I got a comment that appears to threaten to kill me. I have done seminars at RUSI in the past. It is shocking what the organisation is tolerating. 🇬🇧📉
