I've gone back and forth with this quite a bit myself but TJ Friedl is absolutely an everyday player, just has lost a step w/ speed.
.364 OBP in '25 and had a ton of YUGE ABs, he's fine, but his job is literally as simple as getting his ass on base. Nothing more. Best in LF.

@bryce_spalding Guy is definitely good. Also, what’s up with Friedl? He keeps chasing fastballs way out of the zone, that’s not a good sign at all.

Obviously frustrated with the lack of offense today, but very impressed with Connelly Early.
Not afraid of throwing any pitch in any count. Good command.
Makes a lot of sense why his career ERA is under 2 through his first handful of starts.

@CincyBenjamin @RedsInFour I think he’s pretty much right in the middle. Outdated philosophies for sure. But there are plenty of current managers with similar philosophies that are worse at the other aspects.

Boston is now out of challenges. There can be all of the missed calls in the world, but there's nothing the Red Sox can do about it anymore. Bad strategy today, and it could cost them. They wasted both in low leverage situations early in the game with no runners on.

Are the #Reds just not going to use the ABS challenge system? Trevino took a 2-2 pitch about four inches outside for strike 3 and didn’t challenge.
