It’s insane how Texas fans don’t realize that. You can’t just lose 3 times (one to a shit team) and act like one loss doesn’t count.

Texas is being punished for Florida. It's true.
But if it played Rice and not Ohio State, then 10-2 with that resume with the Florida loss is in. So, in reality, regardless of the verbal gymnastics people want to play, the Longhorns are being penalized for playing Ohio State because they didn't have to.
