@DrNighatArif I have just been diagnosed with this. It’s awful. I went on HRT never knowing I had adenomyosis so have now stopped and I’m managing the pain with NSAIDS. I also don’t want a coil and wonder if a hysterectomy is the answer 🤷‍♀️

A few hidden truths about #adenomyosis 1. Adenomyosis is the ‘evil twin’ of endometriosis 2. Adenomyosis is a progressive disease 3. Adenomyosis comes in different forms/ types 4. Adenomyosis forms its own oestrogen - so it can sustain itself regardless of hormones & cause pain 5. Adenomyosis symptoms are easily ignored or misdiagnosed- particularly in the early stages 6. Pregnancy and Menopause does NOT CURE Adenomyosis. We think multiple Pregnancies might actually make adenomyosis worse 7. Hysterectomy might not be the cure with - however we don’t know yet Which one surprised you?
