Marathon lost 85% of its players in 19 days, and the sales were so low that it lost 150-250 million dollars It has almost zero chance of breaking even, yet alone earning any profit. Complete disaster How did this happen?

Marathon fans are left wondering "what happened?" as the Cryo Archive event that they expected to reignite the community has resulted in Marathon's worst weekend, ever. Its Saturday peak was lower than Friday (AGAIN) and it was also lower than the previous Monday and every single weekday before that. An important note is that the Cryo Archive is ONLY available on the weekend and it's still struggling to get players back online. Spiraling.

Shrapnel, a free to play Hero Shooter that launched 10 days ago, only has 4 more players than Highguard (a game that is shut down and literally unplayable)

Maps ❌ Doors ❌ TTK ❌ No Red Dots ❌ Visual Recoil ❌ No Dead Silence Perk❌ Overpowered tanks ❌ Tac Sprint ❌ Gunsmith ❌ Field Upgrades ❌ Strict SBMM ❌ Ranked System ❌ No Zombies ❌ Bouncing Betty’s + Claymores that you can’t see ❌ Absolute GARBAGE visibility with the greyscale hue. ❌ We had to literally bully the studio to add a minimap in the game by launch. And then they doubled down and released MWII which was literally the WORST fucking COD in my opinion. Miserable experience. Ground war was playable in 2019 for like a month then it became trash. Go on and tell me why this game was the “best cod” 😂

MW19 propaganda on my timeline I can’t believe my eyes. That game did irreversible damage to COD and it is without a doubt the worst COD title ever made.

The Marathon fanbase's constant need to defend the game is one of its biggest problems. Even simple, good-faith questions get treated like attacks, and that's only going to push people away, or turn people who were interested off, more than any Steam chart doomer ever would.
