I actually agree with her. This Pope has no right to insert himself in politics in a partisan way. John Paul II was non partisan and political. It is possible to be both. Leo is not.

I am not trying to make my Catholic friends, who I love, angry with this statement. But this entire episode is starting to explain to me why so many Americans were concerned about a Catholic president for so long. I have no interest in Rome trying to dictate American policy. And if it continues to loudly make its opinions heard on our foreign policy, I believe they’re going to find a lot of American Protestants feeling a lot less ecumenical than we have been in the more recent past.

The Canadians were also duped as it was inferior steel. I think there was a lot of unseen money being passed around. Stupidity is just an excuse.

Pope Leo XIV explicitly rejected claims that God justifies war — a direct rebuke of Operation Epic Fury's framing. That's not Rome "dictating to governments," that is a religious leader doing exactly what religious leaders are constitutionally protected to do under the First Amendment. A Church that stays silent while the innocent burn isn't holy — it's complicit.

On this day in history in 1865, the American Civil War came to an end when Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House in Virginia.
Grant arrived in a muddy uniform, while Lee appeared in full dress attire. Lee agreed to the surrender terms, which included pardons for officers and men, who would be allowed to return home with their private property, most importantly, their horses. Officers were permitted to keep their sidearms, and the starving Confederate soldiers were given rations.

I am a devout Roman Catholic, and I am also a Trump supporter.
Do I agree with everything that this administration says and does based on my Catholic faith? Of course not.
However, there is a very well-orchestrated effort to drive a wedge between conservatism and Catholicism, and that is a disgusting abuse of our faith.
Catholicism is not a vehicle for your personal politics, and using it as such is so profoundly profane. Driving MAGA Protestants to hate Catholics does not serve Catholics — it puts them in danger.
No self-professed Catholic should ever put their political ideologies over their brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ.
People like Christopher Hale spreading unsubstantiated stories of the Pentagon threatening the Vatican should be absolutely ashamed and repent of this profound mortal sin.

If we lose the midterms they say, as if they are conservatives and Republicans and have ever done anything to help either the conservative movement or Republican Party. What have they done?
They platform some of the most heinous bigots and notorious Trump-haters. They promote crazy-ass conspiracy crackpots. They live on controversy and gossip. They repeatedly trash the president. Now they sit in judgment that if we lose who is to blame. Certainly not them, of course.
I’ll discuss this more on radio this evening. But these are grifters and manipulators, and there are others, who’ve literally done absolutely nothing for either the conservative movement or the Republican Party. Longtime broadcasters and nothing more, who’ve found a niche and demand attention.
