Heres's a higher resolution image of the new repeater camera that @DavidMoss spotted on one of the unsupervised Model Y Robotaxis down in Austin. Link to his latest video: x.com/DavidMoss/stat… This essentially confirms that the washer fluid targets the lens, directed from the rear toward the front of the vehicle.

The Cybertruck was designed and built by and for folks in warm environments first. You can tell that not one of the design team who works on it has lived in a place where they regularly receive salt and snow. They tested the CT in cold conditions, and showed it off in the snow. But they didn't actually drive it around a northern city for a few hours. It takes ~15 minutes for my rear camera to become unusable when its a slushy mess outside. Yes, they're brilliant engineers, but they don't live with the problems, so they don't actually experience them first hand. I have to constantly clean the cameras on the Cybertruck, and constantly wipe down the windshield due to salt not getting cleared off properly by the wiper. This is my #1 issue with the Cybertruck - #2 being range when towing.

@cybrtrkguy The rear camera is worse in snow when it's your rearview mirror with the tonneau cover closed.

The snow is beginning to fly in West Michigan while I’m out and about. Road spray is already covering the front bumper camera, requiring frequent manual cleaning. Side cameras have their own issues Roads are rapidly deteriorating.

@LexsWorld Some say cameras only but in a windy snowy environment cameras get covered in snow. My backup camera gets dirty from normal driving and worse when the snow comes.

If we allow self driving cars to become universal, freedom will disappear. Imagine how happy a government would be if they could simply “turn off” your ability to go from place to place. I love so much of what Elon has done, but this is very dangerous.

Now that I've installed the @Clearvucam side and rear camera sprayers, it would be great to have the option to add a camera sprayer icon in My Apps at the bottom of the screen and especially the left scroll wheel quick access function menu @wmorrill3.
