@KTAR923 @OutspokenKTAR 14% increase is only $20 a month? For January, sure, but in the summer try more like $100 a month. That's a painful increase

APS is proposing a 14% rate hike for residential customers — about $20 more a month for the typical household — along with a 45% increase for data centers. ⚡ Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes joined @OutspokenKTAR last week to explain why she’s formally intervening against the proposal, what role data centers play in the debate and what she can legally do under state law. @MD_pause No loss. Given the choice, Americans would pick an American doctor over a foreigner every time.

I personally know more than 20 physicians who have already moved, or are actively in the process of moving, to Canada: surgeons, cardiologists, ICU physicians, and other highly accomplished doctors with strong research portfolios and elite training. For many of them, the only real barrier in America was country of birth, or the exhaustion of living under constant uncertainty. When a country makes its most skilled, vetted, and productive professionals feel disposable, it should not be surprised when another country turns them into an asset.

@RepYassAnsari Like, we truly don't care. You don't get to come here for an approved fixed period of time, overstay illegally or luxuriate for years while awaiting a green card.

And think about how this would actually work in practice, and I’ll use Iranians as an example. Right now, more than 12,000 Iranian nationals who are here legally on student or work visas are already living in fear because of the Trump Administration’s USCIS processing pause. I recently introduced The Iranian Temporary Immigration Relief Act (H.R. 8740) with @RepTomSuozzi to grant Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and work authorization to eligible Iranian nationals. But this new policy is even more extreme. It’s horrifying, actually. It would impact people applying for green cards, many of whom have been living in the United States LEGALLY for years, building careers, raising American children, and creating full lives here. That includes thousands of Iranians who studied in the U.S. and are now working as scientists, engineers, researchers, and doctors at top companies and hospitals across this country. I personally know people in these exact circumstances. An Iranian married to an American citizen, with U.S. citizen children, could be forced to leave the country and process their case from abroad. But there is no U.S. embassy in Iran. And they could be sent back into the hands of a brutal regime in the middle of war and political repression. Stephen Miller-the architect behind Trump’s mass deportation agenda-has always pushed cruel and extreme policies. But this is beyond the pale. The human cost will be catastrophic for families across this country.

They’ve been lying when they say they support immigration “the right way.” This radical policy will target people here LEGALLY, including people married to Americans and parents of U.S. citizen children. It will separate families for months or even years, devastate communities, and kill jobs. We have to do everything we can to stop this insanity.

Most green-card applicants will need to go abroad to apply for permanent residency at an American consulate, rather than filing from within the U.S. as they do now, the Trump administration announced Friday. on.wsj.com/43pxJcg

My grandmother came to this country as an infant. She built her life here. She eventually got her green card and became part of the fabric of America, like millions before and after her. That path is what Trump and his administration are now trying to slam shut. The Trump administration just announced that immigrants already living here who apply for a green card will need to leave the country first, with rare exceptions. That means scientists, doctors, teachers, founders, students, and families could be forced to abandon their lives in America and wait years abroad. America was built by immigrants like my grandmother. We are stronger because of them, not in spite of them. businessinsider.com/experts-react-…

This is so incredibly dangerous and will be seen by millions of people. I'm a cardiologist who opens the arteries of people with heart attacks. 1. Secondary vs primary prevention - Here, Malhotra is talking about someone taking a statin who has *already had a heart attack*. First of all, if you survive a heart attack without any major damage, you're lucky. A lot of people aren't as lucky. I know this because I do this work for a living. Primary prevention is for people who've never had any clinical event. If you've had a heart attack, you are NOT THE SAME as someone your same age, etc who has NOT had one. The game is changed and much riskier for you. You are at a HIGHER RISK of ANOTHER heart attack. You need to be MORE AGGRESSIVE to lower that risk. If your first one spared your life, the second one might not. That is secondary prevention. 2. "Benefit over 5 years" - This is such a classic, silly misinformation trick. OK sure - but that assumes you're only planning on living another 5 years and then are ok with just dying. That's obviously absurd and I don't believe anyone agrees with that. As your cardiologist, I'm not trying to keep you alive and well for just 5 years. I'm talking 10, 20, 30 years, decades. The real true benefit of statin therapy is over decades. As in, they help keep you alive longer. You can't just measure it at an arbitrary 5 year cut off. 3. Not magic bullet - Prevention is not just statins. It is changing your entire lifestyle, diet, exercise, etc, and meds. Statins are not magic either. People on statins have heart attacks too. But life is about risks and probabilities. You do what you can to reduce risk as much as possible. You cannot reduce risk to 0, but you can bring it pretty damn close to 0. It is so fascinating to me that there are so many highly intelligent and accomplished people who have an intimate understanding of risk and probabilities, and who make major decisions in their daily lives based on this understanding. But when it comes to statins and vaccines, they just abandon all logic.
Joe Rogan Podcast News@joeroganhq

Dr. Aseem Malhotra: "If you take a statin for 5 years after a heart attack... in that 5 year period, how much would you think or hope it would add to your life expectancy?" Joe Rogan: "25%? 30%?" Malhotra: "Just over 4 days."

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

Thank you. The important part is zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. Best way to put money in someone’s pocket is to not take it out in the first place. Bottom half is only 3% of total tax revenue. But it’s very meaningful to that person. Zero it out.
Chris | Venture X Media@thecoachchris_

Facts It's great that Jeff Bezos thinks this way, because too many people who don't make money think that giving money to the government will solve a lot of their problems. They think these government programs are the answer, and it's clearly not. You can look at the federal level or at the state level, and you will see that a lot of government programs are simply waste.

NEW: 75-year-old dies after physical fight with 20-year-old shift leader at Fort Wayne Tim Hortons On May 13, 2026, Anita Ann Grayson entered the Tim Hortons lobby on Ice Way/Lima Road in Fort Wayne to complain about her drive-thru order. She began berating a 17-year-old female employee. When 20-year-old shift leader August Horner intervened, Grayson struck her, sparking a physical fight in which both women fell to the ground. After the altercation was broken up, Grayson sat at a table, then lay on the floor and became unresponsive. The family and community are calling for justice for Grayson and for Tim Hortons to close its doors.
