British taxpayers cannot be expected to fund the lives of those who exploit the system or break our laws. Asylum support and accommodation will only be available to those who play by our rules.

This is a really excellent interview by @orlanichochlain. She articulates brilliantly the point that if we love animals so much that our enjoyment from them comes through exploitation - then there's something seriously wrong. Time to bin horseracing into history. 🌱🐴
Animal Rising@AnimalRising

"If we love these animals so much, then why is the only way that we can enjoy them through things like horse racing, that harm them so much?" Thanks to @GMB for having us on this morning! And we'll see YOU tomorrow at 6pm on Zoom! Come and find out more about making history this weekend as we take a stand #ForAllLife and disrupt the multi-billion £ horse-racing betting industry ✌️ us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regist… Come and join us to protest the Grand National! Arrive any time from 9.30 outside the front, we’ll be there all day ❤️ #TheWorldIsChanging #AnimalRising

@elonmusk This lying divisive little toad Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon is one of the main reasons that 'elected' politicians shouldn't be able to limit replies So many people have asked for his ilk to be not allowed this privilege Please can this be addressed
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

Disinformation about London has become a global industry. The new “outrage economy” is growing - and it’s eating away at the bonds that hold our society together. That's why I'm calling for urgent action from social media companies and government. theguardian.com/media/2026/apr…

With over 1,700,000 people employed in the NHS, the crisis is self-inflicted The largest employer by far There must be some decent people but you have no customers*, you have no competition and you have with these latest strikes, no morals *patients and relatives have few rights, so many horror stories of poor treatment But the NHS lies and cheats, there should be more criminal charges than actually takes place The only way forward is to privatise and stop this latest greedy blackmail attempt

Doctors are striking to sound the alarm about an NHS in crisis. The idea that a party built on the union movement is now entertaining taking away their right to strike is a staggering reversal of everything it once claimed to stand for. Silencing the alarm won't fix the fire.
The BMJ@bmj_latest

Banning doctors from striking hasn’t been ruled out, Health Secretary Wes Streeting has said. Streeting said that taking the right to strike away from doctors is an option but added that the government has “so far” not considered taking that step bmj.com/content/393/bm…

Eight runs over fences Javert Allen has never been held-up. Either races prominently or leads. Today down in trip for a race that massively favours front-runners. 6 minutes from the off he goes 6/1 to 10/1 on exchanges and shock of shocks he is held-up. 25/1 after the first.

@danbarker It is not worth right wingers complaining about this. It makes financial sense to maximise attendance at virtually no marginal cost to encourage usage of cafe and shop facilities within the zoo.

While Robert Jenrick is paid for by the taxpayer, London Zoo is a charity, not a 'public institution'. Feels weird to campaign for the Government to control how much private companies and charities should charge for tickets.
Robert Jenrick@RobertJenrick

Many of these museums - like London Zoo - are public institutions. Their management shouldn’t be charging working people more, to give discounts to those on benefits. And the prices they charge are already ridiculously high for most families. They should be finding ways to cut the cost for everyone.

@InfiniteRadar Total exploitation of horses , all about money and greed. Same as Greyhound racing, now in its last throws as rapidly stadiums are closing. Hate The Grand National so much , no matter what they do, they can’t make course safe , it is a wicked abuse of beautiful horses. BAN IT 😡

If I tell a driver to stop accelerating so fast, I am not telling them to stop the car And if I tell someone I want to abolish the triple lock increases on state pension, I am not telling them I want to stop the state pension I don't know how to keep explaining this to people

@GMB Private Sector workers on the whole have more pressure than those in the Public Sector The Public Sector has: 1. No competition 2. No shareholders 3. No taxation 4. No real targets 5. No unpaid overtime 6. More holidays 7. Vastly better pensions 8. No or little accountability

Good Morning Britain viewers slam Ranvir Singh for aggressive 'car crash' interview with James Cleverly. The 48-year-old presenter repeatedly interrupted and talked over the Shadow Home Secretary as he outlined Tory plans to ban full-time council staff working four-day weeks. Ranvir kept steering the chat onto adult social care underfunding, snapping: “Why aren’t you getting stuck into that this morning? That is where the real pinch point is.” Cleverly stayed calm and tried to finish his point, but viewers flooded X calling her rude, aggressive and “completely lost her nut.” One said: “How rude is this woman?”

You think throwing battery acid in someone's face is funny The majority of people wouldn't find that funny You need to look up the effect of the injuries to Katie Piper I need no favours from your ilk The non-caring hypocrites of people with a NHS background Sadly there are too many of you with this nastiness

Actually Clive, Millions of us thoroughly enjoyed Jo Brand's joke! If you didn't like it, fair enough! But do yourself a favour, eh! Don't judge those of us who see Farage as it really is! A self-serving, greedy, MAGA-lite Gobshite! Have a nice day! 👍
Clive Smith - cure Pulmonary Hypertension now@CliveSmith3000

@IndieChris71 @PhilipProudfoot Not subtle at all. His excuse was just a cop-out I suppose you feel that Jo Brand's battery acid 'joke' about @Nigel_Farage was hilarious too Lee is just a snide, who thinks he is cleverer than everyone else including his paying audience If you like him, fine
