@jaredwray @_trish_xD The entire company's internal admin site (reporting, QA, time tracking, etc) was built in ASP.NET with a VB.NET backend Why, you ask? Because the whole thing stemmed as an Excel macro in VBA. Worst case of scope creep I've ever seen.

@_trish_xD VB.NET it was horrible and made no sense to even create. We had to use it for a project because the architect came from Visual Basic. Half way through the project we started moving all services to C#

Programming language you learned once but never touched again?

@_trish_xD Ruby - company had a Ruby on Rails monolith. I had to occasionally review PRs and test changes locally, but didn't write much personally. The language itself made sense, but I really didn't see advantages over other scripting languages like Python or Javascript even Lua
