I’ve made a very difficult decision not to continue with police cadets next year. I’d waited so long to be old enough to join, but so far it’s not been what I expected.

It’s always good when the job throws a bit of variety your way 🚚💨 it definitely keeps things interesting and makes the day go that bit quicker. I’m currently at a sawmill 🪵 in Cargo, just on the outskirts of Carlisle, getting loaded up with timber. It’s one of those jobs where you can’t help but take a minute to appreciate how much goes on behind the scenes before it even reaches site. From here, I’ve got a couple of drops lined up down in Liverpool and Warrington, so a decent run ahead. The Liverpool drop could make things a bit more interesting than usual though, as it’s right near Aintree 🏇 and with the Grand National on this weekend, I’m expecting a fair bit more traffic 🚗 🚚 Still, it’s all part of the job, different locations, different challenges, and no two days ever the same. Another pre flight site check today and found both a female and male Adder. The male has the black zig zag marking and the female brown. She also has red eyes. The adder is only one of three native snakes to the U.K (the others being the Grass Snake and the Smooth Snake) and the only one that is venomous.
