Very excited to announce that I'll be hosting OL training at Premier Athletic Center starting in January. If you're an offensive lineman in the 757 come train and get better with me! High energy hands on training with an emphasis on footwork, leverage, and hand usage. Let's go 😤

Great coaches don’t chase the perfect offense - they build one their players can execute.

@CoachDuncanNSA For sure. I'm no coach so you're far more qualified on this stuff than me, but I'd be happy to take a look

@MarkBullockNFL Backside RPOs to put the backside LB and flat defenders in a bind. Also with power and counter mixed in here and there. More simple RPOs in general.

@CoachDuncanNSA For sure, I just prefer counter to have the pulling guard do the kick out with more force vs an edge than a TE/FB/H-Back trying to do that on power.

@MarkBullockNFL In my book they're basically the same play, just a matter of who is doing the kickout and who is wrapping the the LB. But power is just such a great base run, imo. Add in a backside Y Pop and you're really putting them in a bind.

Free-agent RB Jeremy McNichols is returning to Washington on a one-year deal, per sources. Washington’s current backfield now will include McNichols, Bill Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White and Jerome Ford.

@Gcarmi21 @MarshW_7 There's a lot of follow up writing on that site as well with a focus on football. Lot of good reading.

This is interesting. I'd like to see more data on this. The #Commanders ran a fairly light camp and were riddled with injuries as well. I'm one to think "practice as you would play" but it seems that with the CBA, players rarely practice, or even fully dress, during the season. 🤔
Dave Kluge@DaveKluge

A term I heard Ben Johnson and Ryan Poles use a lot last preseason was “calloused up.” Their philosophy is that a hard training camp leads to tougher bodies and fewer in-season injuries. The Bears had 336 games missed to injury this year, most in the NFL.

@MarshW_7 @Gcarmi21 At the very least my guys will be a lot more fresh than the other teams as the season progresses. Take out the "grind" and you should have happier and healthier players. That goes for coaches too.

@Gcarmi21 @MarshW_7 I'm looking into adapting this to my team this season. Like I said, it's very compelling and makes a ton of sense. But it also challenges the conventional way of how you should practice so a lot of "football guys" poo poo it. share.google/Jp2fAEwfZKxK2Y…

If anyone hasn't heard of the "feed the cats" philosophy I highly recommend reading up on it. Compelling stuff. Cignetti has preached on a similar mentality regarding training and practice.

Sources: The #Commanders have re-signed OG Chris Paul to a 1-yr deal. After exploring many options, he wanted to run it back playing next to Laremy Tunsil and help get the Commanders back to the playoffs.
