I've had a lot of questions about what the GameState app actually looks like. Here's a quick walkthrough. Built for high school football coaches who want answers fast on Friday nights.

H GT Counter: Vs Tite: Pullers are getting auto-log calls and we end up solo on on the 404. The BS LB is now our responsibility to hold so we try to get creative. We could run our normal flash fake or find a way to get it to another playmakers hands.

GT with a tagged Orbit Motion. QB is reading the number 2 defender. If he believes number 2 will outleverage our slot, he hands it off. You can mix in the same read with other parts of your run game as well.

Friday Film 📽️: Lets talk some GT Counter. Going to go over 4 of my favorite ways to dress it up! QB GT to start❗️ QB Track = Underneath Kickout, aiming off the hip of the downblocks.

@txhsfbchat Big thing for us has been creating a drill library and go over that in film for the day or next day. Less time teaching on the field and you are able to get into the drill quickly. Emphasize how it builds on other drills we do, or how it mimics reads or gameplan for the week.

Booth or sideline: where should your team’s play caller be? Inspired by @CoachDanCasey. 20 seasons. 5,431 games. 10,700+ caller-team observations. Offense: Sideline 22.88 PPG | Booth 21.35 Defense: Booth 22.32 PPG allowed | Sideline 22.57 Offense performed better with the play caller on the sideline. Defense performed slightly better with the play caller in the booth.

@MarkieP_ Last time I checked, NFHS says that you are not allow to fly it over the field. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though. Also, big issue too is rotating batteries too. The angle is incredible for practice though

When will high school football allow drones to film for All-22 footage? Are there states that allow this already?

@jimshapiro He’s not “tight” but this is the closest I’ve done with the slot.

X Football Community. GT Counter. Do you have video footage of GT Counter but giving the ball to the tight slot receiver (not the RB). If you have footage or play drawings...show and tell!

Put an NFL fan from 2000 in a time machine and have him watch a game in 2025. By halftime, he’d be convinced the entire league had declared war on punting and every kicker had been created in a laboratory.
Ross Tucker Podcast@RossTuckerPod

“Things have changed SO rapidly from even that 2017 season…” “So many of these things are now being normalized… in the year 2000, there was ONE 55+ yard field goal in the entire NFL season. This last year there were 74.” @RyanPaganetti discusses how much fourth-downs have changed in the NFL:

@CoachDanCasey Actually need to make an addendum. It really was just Joe Brady and Morton before Campbell took over. So 8/9 depending on how you want to look at it. HC: McVay, Schotty, Shanahan, Steichen, Payton, Johnson, Campbell(mid-year) OCs: Brady(Booth), Morton(Booth)* McDaniels, Kubiak

@CoachDanCasey Out of the Top 10 highest producing teams (based off yards), 8 out of 10 play callers were on the field. Feels like cheating from the booth but it’s hard to beat looking your guys in the eye. Would love to see it across all levels though!

Has anyone done an analytics study on if Play Callers are historically more efficient calling it from the Sideline or the Box? I hear compelling reasons for both, but what does the data say?

3rd Down Conversion % is one we all know and already track. It gives a clear picture of possession efficiency and execution. As you emphasize 3rd Downs this fall think: More Conversions = More Snaps = Longer Drives = More Chances to Score
