Thread: Youth sports is built around kids who are better than their peers. These kids play triple the amount of games compared to kids that don’t make these teams. Making it even harder for the kids who don’t make these teams to make them in the future. 1/1

@CoachHunsinger I think we saw some teams play a 4-man box with a joker/hybrid and that same 3v2 concept against doubles last season. I have philosophical disagreements, but people do it.

Another Prime example of why 7s is dog-water. Tell me whose LBs are lining up like this in an actual game? TELL ME WHO Instead, coaches, like the ones who coach the team pictured, don’t care whatsoever about developing players, but rather on just winning a rep when all it does is develop bad habits, full stop. Pre-season 7s is meant to find where you excel, find where you need to improve and correct those errors. It’s practically a PRACTICE. Development off-season translates to winning in-Season.

I was just sitting here and built a pass package of about 40 plays all coming from 1 formation & 1 variance (short motion) off formation so you get 2 bites at the apple with each play but a different presentation to make D adjust! Package included: Empty, Empty w/ Motion, Quicks, Dropbacks, Playaction & shots… With plays that would attack short, intermediate & deep, but also inside, outside & same side zones… Attacking both frontside & backside of the formation… It’s what I call “DOODLING”!
