Some players were having a laugh about my dad photography skills while we were in Sweden. So when I saw this line up while taking a walk, It was a must take photo! As a coach, being able to take a joke and have some fun with players goes a long way to building relationships.

What an enjoyable and full on week I've just had in Sweden at the Gothia cup! Getting a U15s team up, fed, on 2 or 3 trams or buses to games, doing activities, all on top of coaching. This penalty shootout was one of many highlights from the week🔥

It's now a year since my book was released! I wrote it to see if I could get a book published, and to see if I could help coaches in the foundation phase improve themselves. I've had great feedback, and even had a few local coaches bring the book to CPD events to get signed!

1st day of leading holiday camps in the books, only another 28 days to go! With U19s preseason starting at the start of August, it's going to be a full on summer, but I'm doing what I love, so I'm certainly not complaining.

How do you give possession purpose? Support creates options and connections. Width and mobility create space. Creativity finds the way through.

Youth Football/Soccer Coaching tips for Pre-season training working with children in a team setting: ⚽️👇🏼 1. Avoid fitness “drills” - with kids you can disguise fitness in games by changing the area size or by setting certain challenges/conditions. 2. High ball rolling time and maximize touches on the ball for each individual. Ball each if possible!⚽️ 3. Lots of Small sided games. You will get better outcomes in general than doing a bleep test or running laps. The players can run in their own time. 4.
