Really enjoyed speaking to some 5th grade students today in Council Bluffs about child labor. Intelligent kids, with great questions and passionate about child labor. Thanks to our fantastic educators in our community I have no doubt these kids will have a very successful future!

My 10yo daughter came up with a goal list for her matches while watching her big brother this morning all on her own. Besides the spelling, the goals alone make me proud, especially the last one!

Believe it or not college recruiters and MLB scouts won’t mark you down for a bad game. In fact many would welcome the opportunity to see it. See how you handle yourself when things aren’t easy and smooth. They want to see how you handle adversity because at the next level you will be challenged in ways you haven’t been yet if you are in fact good enough to play at the next level. So instead of feeling embarrassed and thinking it’s the end of the world, step up and rise to the occasion. Show everyone how good you really are when you don’t have your best stuff.
