HS athletes need exposed way more to power, true speed and strength work. Enough w the agility drills, especially for the ones in 2-3 sports. They literally change direction hundreds of times every football, baseball, basketball, really any team sport practice.

One of my all time favorite plays of the Wing-T is CTXX. It's a high risk/high reward play because of the speed of the 2nd handoff. We liked to run it of double wing formations especially from unbalanced formations to the weak side. It won a handful of games for us late in the 4th quarter. Our variation was we liked to pull G&T rather than G&TE.

@CoachRGarner Yes! Everyone needs to be fast & strong. Athletes need to be strong at unilateral and bilateral exercises. In high school, adherence to a plan 4 to 5 times a week will get you further than any “ Sports specific” workout. Got to find a template that works with class time!

At the HS level the most important logistical consideration is consistency. Similar framework/structure daily to help with flow. This speeds up the session No specific programs for one sport - teams all follow the same general plan because they all need the same general things

I'm repeating myself here because I showed you the rules for our teen series trap (Back). 20 series trap is still a great play off Buck Sweep action. We always liked to go after the defender who played outside shoulder of our guard or tackle. Key point here is FB has to hit the hole shoulders square and at full speed.

The Wing-T 20 series is the backbone of the offense. It gives you 3 basic plays that present the "If-then" scenario. Because of rule changes the effect the wing backs block the "Buck Sweep" has lost some of it's luster. However, it still can be an effective play if you use different formations to soften the flank. Also, the faking in the backfield can help make the play go. It can be run under center and from shotgun.
