Successful people aren’t deterred by inconvenience. They aren’t swayed by motivation or lack thereof. They’re driven by their standards. They choose discipline over motivation. They choose what they want most over what they want now. It’s choosing long-term vision and committing to the habits that lead to success, no matter what. It’s a choice. You control what you decide to commit to and how you show up. I define accountability as, “we do what we say we’ll do.” It’s being accountable to what you committed to. If you committed to a task or a goal, it’s showing up with actions every single day, regardless of how you feel.
It may be inconvenient in the present, but it’s how you become successful in the long run.
It’s your choice. By led by commitment or be led by feelings. The result is ultimately on you. Live with the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. Successful people choose the former.
