@AJSchulteFB Need a reliable WR3 for when 11P is necessary, ie 3rd-4th and long. Don’t want to be in a “gotta have it” down and not trotting out great personnel. Long-term, he can be the Z in 2 WR sets with Puka going to X.

I just don't really see the fit with how much 12 and 13 they want to run. WR pick should be outside X Adams heir, not a slot only guy imo.

Being able to identify concepts and schemes is so important! I had great coaches that helped teach me these things, and experience coaching on the offensive side of the football. Both of those aspects help me have a better understanding of leverage & run fits. As well as concepts in the passing game and the coverages we need to break them.

The biggest mistake young defensive coaches make: Studying plays. Instead of studying concepts. Power Zone Counter Flood Mesh Concepts repeat. That’s where tendencies live.

@JKBOGEN They’ve endured 2 years of meh from him to finally get good play out of him. Also worth noting that he’s only like 27. He has a skill set that complements T-Ferg really well and should just now be hitting his prime. If anything, they should be considering an extension.

I see some looking at the cap dollars of savings for cutting Colby Parkinson but not at the fact the #Rams clearly love him. 51 catches, 560 yards and 9 TDs combined with postseason. Oh and he played 18 games and 778 snaps. They run 13 personnel. 3 tight end sets. Cutting him makes no sense. You aren’t going to get him on a cheaper deal after last year.

@JKBOGEN Jamel Dean + McDuffie would be awesome. Then pick 13 is truly BPA (Lemon 🤞) or a big way to trade back and recoup assets traded for McDuffie.

@JSnow56 You should get all the front-side coverage drained. No C2 CB picking up your intermediate route. Double Post + Sail is good too.

@camdasilva I think they try to bring back Garoppolo, although he may want to go if he can get a chance to start in AZ with LaFleur. Regardless, I think they go with a vet backup this year and sign Mac Jones in next year’s free agency

@maxtoscano1 I tell HS OCs all the time. If you don’t have a natural TE, find your best OL that can catch a flat route, shallow route, and get a few YAC if left uncovered. Congrats, you now have a TE.

All you need from a pure blocker at TE is for them to do more noticeably more in receiving than an OL could. Will Kacmarek will probably never do much as a receiver in the NFL, but he will probably do that.

@RamsBrothers All new HC’s need someone with HC XP for advice dealing with problems you’ve never had to face. McVay did it with Wade Phillips, Ben Johnson now with Dennis Allen, etc. With LaFleur calling plays, this is a good way to do that, plus familiarity. He was Matt’s OC before Denver.

The fact that Mike LaFleur chose Nathaniel Hackett over guys like Nate Scheelhaase is mind-boggling. Ownership is so bad in AZ. When Raheem went to ATL, he immediately took Zac Robinson with him. Seemed obvious, but good for us.
