@treeaston This is perfectly captured when he calls the Republican Party the biggest terrorist organization in the world, but then says he couldn’t support Newsome in 2028 v Vance. Media strategy aside, Newsome is very liberal, as was 2020-2024 Biden admin.

@treeaston Bingo. Never trumpers have been welcomed into the party because they acknowledge the differences in policy preferences but align on core imperative:stopping trump/maga. Piker doesn’t, his core imperative is getting his way. He’s a cancer on the party.

I'm sympathetic to the argument that campus organizing has been impacted by crackdowns on free speech. (I'll remind you, ironically, the very thing the media spent huge resources accusing liberals of.) But that doesn't explain why Harris is still to this day the subject of far more protest during public appearances than any Republican, despite no longer holding office. The fact is that Democrats are indeed held to a higher standard than Republicans, and organizers cannot avoid acknowledging this.
