ads are a different game to organic ads are designed for conversions, organic is designed for virality ads don’t need to go viral because you are paying for them to be seen - so you optimize the hook, the demo and the ending in a completely different way to organic if you’re just starting out, pick ONE - organic or ads - get really good at one, then learn the other if you try both at the same time, it will take you much longer to start making $$

@CodyBontecou @loktar00 Yeah why would anyone commit that far ahead? 100% guaranteed SOTA will bump between 2-3 other providers over the next year. And by end of year I’m betting on local inference being good enough for my 128GB Mac M5.

moshi moshi have you tried the speech test feature in 3.6.0? does Parakeet work for you? is Nemotron better? still on Whisper for your language — or is the cloud model winning? curious what you're finding.😻😻

I’m like 21 years late to the party but I’ve set up tailscale and tmux on a Mac mini, MacBook, and my phone and now I feel like I have super powers…

The last thing I like to wake up to after shipping an update: "The last update seems to have caused a bug and I can’t get into the app. I took a screen recording so you can see what happens every time I open it"

Apple now featured Juicy for the second time on the homepage under "Apps We Love" and it resulted in a consistent 3x more app sales per day compared to when not featured. It's absolutely insane 🙏 Thx Tim Apple. If it could only stay featured forever 🤣

@anulagarwal The level editor was the real product. User-generated content turned a simple game into a compounding ecosystem, which is why 13 years later it's still growing.

one of my favorite indie-dev stories is the solo developer of Geometry Dash. >earns $30 million/yr from mobile + steam >steam sales are growing year on year >13yr old game >BILLIONS of views across socials, all organic (no paid UGC because players are the UGC) >hired a few people in his team and enjoys now >10 million+ subs on YouTube >the game is very simple at it's core. >no added meta or forced content >he added a level creation system that allows players to create levels and share with others. >paid + free games inspiring tbh today studios with millions in funding are unable to crack this formula and here a solo-dev is outrunning all of them with a 13 yr old game title/IP

My current workflow is a /grill-to-goal skill based on @mattpocockuk’s /grill-with-docs that basically interviews you to produce detailed documentation about your feature, with clear acceptance criteria etc., along with a goal-ready prompt that references that documentation. Then just call /goal with that prompt. Works very nicely in my experience.

So I have Codex running on a /goal and it's been working for 2 hours but the problem is it's making alot of wrong assumptions so I have to monitor and steer it constantly. Is this expected? Perhaps I should've had it make a detailed plan first?

@justddev Yea, I think they’ve begun using an AI/automated review process. I remember seeing somewhere that they have an automation disclaimer.
