In terms of general market positioning and the UK as an operating environment, we’re finalizing our response to the HMRC consultation on the taxation of stablecoins. We are making the case that any CGT exemption for payments should include not just stablecoins, but also Bitcoin when used for buying goods and services; if successful this could create a significantly better payments landscape in the UK for Bitcoin payments. It’s a long shot, but you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Several members of the BHODL nteam attended the 2-day workshop on crypto licensing hosted by @SimmonsLLP and @Gateway21_UK. The workshop covered the full gamut of "Crypto Asset Regulation, Licensing and Authorisations”; excellent to connect with contacts from across the industry as well, including friends at @Bittylicious_ and @okx.
