@Rudbow Welcome to this new chapter.

At the age of 54, I’ve finally quit work, been at a desk since 16, looking after mom for 10 years, she’s now safe in a home. As humans we can’t do everything, and picking up this book I’ve had for awhile after this decision just makes it real and liberating! An eye opener!

Please can we end this fashion for reporters shouting out questions to politicians arriving at/leaving 10 Downing Street. We all know that no-one is going to stop for an impromptu chat in which they reveal their true intentions. Expected better from the likes of Chris Mason.

I’m convinced that everyone should take a big swing at some point in their life and experience what it’s like to truly go all in on a meaningful pursuit otherwise they grow bitter with age.

@SelinaD1980 @Number10cat I think they do, as do Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia who also have Commonwealth in their full, formal state names. Not the same as the British Commonwealth - but of course, if they want to return to the fold.....

For the third time in a week I am waiting for a new window cleaner to turn on on a mutually agreed date. If he turns up, I expect him to be in a golden carriage pulled by 6 unicorns.
