Went full #omarchy and @dhh on my setup for @ycombinator, and have even converted 2 fellow founders as well 😁 We should all love working on the machine we use every day.

To put it all out there I'm in YC again, P26. Way different than S08 in a good way. Group office hours are 🔥🔥🔥 and the variety of talent present is insane. The events feel more like conferences because pro's are organizing them and way more founders attend. Back to work!

This is what I've been cooking, hosted gbrain.io. If you can't make it to the hackathon jump on the waiting list with your Google account (more ways of signing up will land). 🙏

@paolino The thing I’ve been liking about GStack is that it uses Claude for the main planning but has codex steps to do through reviews and adversarial viewpoints. Feels like the best of both worlds while staying in what is imo the best harness (Claude code)

I've been watching this since the first Codex dropped. There's no comparison. Codex is miles ahead of Claude Code. But the narrative won't stop. Which tells me people didn't actually try Codex before confidently declaring a winner. Even Opus 4.6 on max effort hallucinates constantly, confidently. Not on maxed out contexts, on fresh conversations. Today: hallucinated results it should have searched. Blindly changed one without verifying. Searched but got the wrong answer. Then doubled down on a mistake it already made. Just a mess. 20 minutes for a simple row of feature comparisons. Codex: searched everything, found nuance, suggested ways to represent it in the table. One shot.

@Shpigford Curious, are you thinking of swapping inertia for Hotwire/stimulus in your stack or just testing it out?

@bradgessler I’ve been using it heavily with any large features I would’ve used plan mode for. I’ve really enjoyed the iteration and closer loop during the planning phase to really nail things down

@noahzweben Yep this is great! I’ve yet to compete with my terminus + Tailscale combo yet and I think this be a good match with the right convo switching and notifications. Biggest problem with my terminus setup was dropped ssh connections on the go and this should solve that

@noahzweben Excited to try this. Biggest thing for me has been most of the “native” ways to teleport have been sandbox/codebase driven. I want to use the whole computer as a part of my Claude code session and the sandbox doesn’t cut it. This way seems I can still control my VPS ssh style.

Announcing a new Claude Code feature: Remote Control. It's rolling out now to Max users in research preview. Try it with /remote-control Start local sessions from the terminal, then continue them from your phone. Take a walk, see the sun, walk your dog without losing your flow.

@Cole__Robertson yeah makes sense, I had in mind that I could basically inject things into the React state from a job -- that would be ideal for many of my broadcasting use-cases

@_swanson I handle this now by passing the job status as an inertia prop and have it db backed, so it flows naturally. I’ll think through this API a bit, but will add the ability to have a direct channel as well without the reloading so you could update progress yourself if needed.

@Cole__Robertson neat...I have one question: "The client receives them and calls router.reload() to re-fetch props through Inertia's normal HTTP flow." I was hoping to be able to stream back stuff like loading progress from a job, doesnt seem like that would work?

@_swanson I totally while working through it too see a need to be able to just stream “messages” that aren’t necessarily passed as inertia props. Goal is to support this normal channel use case as well and I find it similar to broadcast_append_to vs broadcast_replace_to in turbo streams

I dogfooded it last night for a feature for @dscribeai last night, and the experience was fantastic. One of my favorite parts is the “auto reconnect and fetch data” This feels similar to react query in the way that you swap back to the tab and then see fresh data right away
