@Colin_Hurd, the CEO of @MACH_Innovation, believes that AI will be an instant difference-maker, especially in the data management department. Read about the implications of AI in farming from Eagle, Wis. farmer Tyler Troiola's smart sprayer system. ow.ly/KqxC50XTrFO

@chamath you should do a deep dive on this in the next @all
Bill Ackman@BillAckman

.@elonmusk, what if we took @SpaceX public by merging it with Pershing Square SPARC Holdings, Ltd. (SPARC) a new form of acquisition company that was approved by the @SECGov. We could distribute SPARC special purpose acquisition rights (SPARs) to @Tesla shareholders so that all Tesla shareholders would have the right to invest in the SpaceX IPO, or they could choose to sell their SPARs to someone else. This would reward loyal Tesla shareholders with the opportunity to invest in SpaceX (or with cash for their SPARs), while totally democratizing the IPO process. In addition to receiving common stock in SpaceX, exercising SPAR holders would also receive Pershing Square SPARC Holdings II SPARs, which we could use to take @xai public at the time of your choosing. Pershing Square would due diligence on behalf of all shareholders and would commit $4 billion of capital to the IPO at a fixed price per share. SPARC has no underwriting fees, founder stock or shareholder warrants, and we would waive our right to receive SPARC sponsor warrants. The result would be an IPO without any underwriting fees or dilutive securities issued. @SpaceX would go public with a 100% common stock capital structure and it would not incur any transaction costs other than modest legal fees which SPARC would pay from its cash on hand. We could raise whatever amount of capital you would like by adjusting the exercise price of the SPARs. Assuming we issue 0.5 SPARs for each share of Tesla, there would be 1.723 billion SPARs outstanding including the 61.1 million SPARs that are already outstanding. Since one SPAR would be exercisable for two shares of SpaceX, the SPARs would be exercisable for 3.446 billion total SpaceX shares. So, if we set the SPAR exercise price at $11.03, SpaceX would raise $42.0 billion, $38 billion from the exercise of SPARs and $4 billion from Pershing Square, or if we set the SPAR exercise price at $42.0, SpaceX would raise $148.7 billion, $144.7 billion from the SPAR exercise and $4 billion from us. SPARC is indifferent to how much of the shares are primary versus secondary shares giving the company maximum flexibility. We could do due diligence and enter into a definitive agreement committing to the transaction within 45 days, at which point it would be certain that SpaceX would go public at a fixed valuation subject only to SEC approval of the merger proxy/registration statement. Our commitment to the transaction would not be subject to market conditions. We could start work right away and announce the transaction by mid- February. It only seems appropriate that the most innovative and efficient rocket company in the world should go public in the most innovative, efficient, and fairest-to-Tesla-shareholders manner possible. To Mars and beyond! What do you say?

This one hurts so bad for Iowa fans. Not only because of the L, but because the existential dread they’ve kept internalized for years is starting to surface publicly. Iowa is no longer THE school in the state and they know it. In 2025 it is undeniably cooler to be an Iowa St fan. Iowa State is the school with consensus top 10 coaches leading their football and basketball programs. Iowa is the program firing coaches and begging others to retire. Iowa State is the school constantly ranked top 15 in both sports. Iowa is the school who has lost 10 straight against ranked teams. Iowa State is the school with their GOAT quarterback playing in the Super Bowl while his replacement is in Heisman conversations. Iowa is the school getting millions stolen by a 2nd straight potato pretending to be a QB. Iowa State is the school with an Olympic champ game winning shotting his way into face of the league NBA conversations. Iowa is the school who hasn’t had a notable NBA alum in decades. Iowa State is the school with 10 skill position players scoring touchdowns all over the NFL. Iowa is the school clinging to a couple tight ends. Iowa State is the school playing Clemson and Notre Dame and Oregon and Miami in bowl games. Iowa is the school stuck losing to mid SEC programs. Iowa State is the school perennially getting top 3 seeds in the NCAA tournament and invites to the elite Feastweek tournaments. Iowa is the school who hasn’t sniffed a 2nd weekend this century. Iowa State is the school having in-state talent making game winning plays in the rivalry. Iowa is the school losing all the games. Simply put Iowa State is the school having all the fun. It’s been creeping up since Jamie Pollard was hired. 30 years ago the fanbases were split 80:20 in the state and media coverage leaned even deeper in Iowa’s favor. Now Iowa State is the larger university with the Midwest’s fastest growing city in its backyard and it is beginning to lean more cardinal than black. While Iowa fans have been ignorantly cheering on their own demise in the name of “Revenue!!!” with Big Ten expansion killing their Big Ten West safe haven, Iowa State has been silently grinding. They’ve created and are continuing to invest in 2 of the best gameday experiences in the country for their football and basketball fans while keeping it accessible to everyone. Meanwhile unless you’re a dentist or want to walk miles it’s impossible to become a new Iowa tailgater.  While Iowa State’s fanbase is rapidly growing, especially with young people, Iowa’s has plateaued. Gone are the days every t-shirt fan in the state picking Iowa. It is simply easier and more fun to become an Iowa State fan. Iowa State is on a rocket to the moon while Iowa is trending towards late 2010’s Nebraska status. I called all of this happening 5 years ago by the way.

I started rebuilding my ERP today. I have a few big goals that pushed me to do it: - I want to be able to query my ERP data from ChatGPT or other LLMs. This will use MCP (the LLM version of an API). This will make that easier. - I want to be able to have deep natural language capabilities. Example: "Please send a reminder email to anyone with an invoice open for longer than 30 days on a weekly cadence." This will make that easier. - I have a list of 200+ possible AI actions that could either be scheduled or manually triggered. I want to build as many of them as possible. This will make that easier.

Hey X! I’m looking to chat with a beaver expert—ecologists, wildlife biologists, anyone who’s studied these amazing little engineers. If you know someone (or are someone!) who’s done work in this area, I’d love to connect for an upcoming episode on my podcast. Recommendations welcome—DM me or drop a name below! 🦫💜

The same robot dumping its massive load of regolith. Notice the dust jets that suddenly shoot out as soon as the vibrational system turns on. Dust will be the biggest tech challenge on the Moon but it is solvable. Also notice the flashing navigation system for autonomous ops.

The birth rate in 1850 was almost 300 births per 1,000 women of childbearing age. In 1950 it was 106. Today it’s 55. Half of what it was 75 years ago. 20 percent of what it was 175 years ago. We need to start taking this problem seriously before we march into our own extinction.

@SteveOnSpeed @elonmusk Ok, contrian viewpoint here apparently... kids are more valuable than. 1. Houses 2. Cars 3. 401ks 4. College degrees 5. A night out with friends (which is actually solved for by having kids 😅)

@SteveOnSpeed @elonmusk I think number 2 is the biggest factor. Speaking as a dad of 3 it's hard to understand how folks don't want kids. Once you have them that is! Commitment is a hard thing for our culture I think
