@manxambassador They're 12 month rolling figures March to Feb, it's been stationary since September 22. Question is how did it drop 20+ points between August and September last year?

On the face of it it seems rather suspect that February education inflation category apparently fell by 8% in the IOM but continued to rise by 3.2% in the UK stats released today. Can anyone elaborate why this is the case ?

1/ Camera at the mart today with @farmersjournal outside Tokyo, #Japan where near 1,000 Wagyu weanlings averaging 300kg hit €4,000 and above. Cattle all sold in individual lots, washed and brushed before sale

My wife Marilyn has done a fantastic job rearing 650 little Wagyu’s this Autumn. Keeps us out of the bobby calf trade, keeps NZ beef in a premium position overseas and the cheque from First Light Wagyu pays for all our replacement dairy animals.

50% less N spread so far and still loads of surplus, think we have a lot of money poured down the drain with years gone by 🤔

@Evo_Farming @GenusABS Do you use rms on all of the herds, spring and autumn? Just wondering how chalking, segregating works on grazing herds?

@BunterJones Usually straight out from milking but as @GenusABS rms tech comes at 8am so they get chalked then let out until lunchtime

Now third day out for this autumn herd (4 hrs/day) concerns around top covers when and if winter does come…plus all the other usual benefits

Haven’t put phosphate on in 5 years. 5 years corn on corn with cereal rye cover crop and cattle on the winter and added biologicals.. Yields some of strongest in 25 years of farming it, no lime applied in 7 years, an only 75# of potash applied last 3 years in season. Cool to see
