@LibTearCreator1 There is a VERY short list of valid reasons that people should be blocking roads, namely traffic control and closing a road that isn't safe. Anyone else that does it, game on

@dawest76 I agree with you, while also agreeing with him. If religion has no place at work, then surely neither does a month-long celebration of dudes banging each other. Most people just want to do their jobs without any agenda getting in the middle of it.

I say this in all seriousness. Leave your politics and your religion out of the workplace. No one wants to come to work and here your bullshit. Leave it at the house

Internal issues leading to Jaden Ivey’s exit from the Bulls, per @JCowleyHoops - Destroyed the locker room “sanctuary” - Constant preaching made players uncomfortable - Religious rhetoric “pressed” upon teammates daily - Told players who was “righteous and unrighteous” Bulls reportedly viewed the behavior as “weirdness” in the workplace (h/t @TheNBABase)

@HannahDCox Girl we dont even have casinos in Texas and have the highest property taxes in the nation. They want you to work for every dollar you get with a $7.25 state minimum wage. No chances at going to a casino to win free money unless you drive to OK or LA

Can I get lower property taxes? "No" Can we eliminate our income tax? "No" Can I legally purchase marijuana so I have holistic pain management without Big Pharma side effects? "No" "How about a casino in your pocket though? That way you can desperately shoot your shot at being able to afford life in our state. You'll almost definitely lose money but we'll make more tax revenue." -Literally life living under Republicans in a red state

@NFL_DovKleiman Where were the hit pieces on Payton Manning when he did these things? It’s cool I’ll wait. How I see it if Manning, Brady, Foles are cool with him so am I.

Yikes: Additional notes from Jeremy Fowler's bomb shell article on Eagles star QB Jalen Hurts. - Hurts was the person who called “Four Verticals” on the Eagles' last play of the 2026 NFL Playoffs, not Kevin Patullo. - wanted to avoid playing under center - reluctant to let it rip at times, particularly against zone coverage - pushed back on changes that would diversify the scheme - poor body language, not always bought in - diverts from the game plan and changes playcalls to an excessive degree - not the most coachable, and his teammates notice 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Oh Boy: A source within the Eagles organization believes star quarterback Jalen Hurts is “not the most coachable” player, per @JFowlerESPN “Poor body language, not always bought in, not the most coachable, and the players notice.” 😬😬😬

@Daniel233118 This young man was obviously lacking bicycle education, which led him to ride entirely too close to pedestrians, putting them in danger. The older man merely tried to educate him by redirecting him to the bike lane, causing the kid to lose his balance. Education is important.

@MitraHispana @captgouda24 We only need infinite economic growth in a high inflation, debt-driven economy. Otherwise, you could pretty easily earn money for a relatively short period of time with reliable savings and live like a king forever.

Credit: America Loves Liberty Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett says any white person who uses the "N-word" should be tied to a post and whipped, so they can experience what it was like. When it was his turn, Ohio Rep Jim Jordan asked Ms. Crockett when the last time someone tied her to a pole and whipped her. "I was making a point," she screeched. "The point is, said Jordan, "You want people to suffer when you did not." Crockett had no response.

@BOSSportsGordo Some situations, it's a huge difference. For example, backing into a space before a big sporting event so that you can pull out forward when the event is over, rather than trying to back out into a long line or cars, hoping someone lets you in long enough to back up

@efropoker @KenMathis Framing = tricking umpires into thinking balls are strikes. It's perfectly fine if that goes away, much like it'd be fine if there was a technological solution to flopping in the NBA.

A lot of people like the human element, which you can see everywhere including on this post people saying they hate ABS and it was already great. But beyond that, catcher framing is a really big skill of that position that players work on for years. To have it go from being a large part of the position to completely meaningless is a cost to the game. There are more reasons but all of them have reasonable counterarguments, too, just different opinions.

Some people are mad that there isn't enough baseball in "the zone" to be a strike and want there to be some arbitrary different % (as opposed to the current arbitrary % of >0%). It's, frankly, absurd. The truth is that no matter what constitutes a ball/strike, something slightly different will be upsetting for some people. Hypothetically, instead of using the current ABS metric where 0.00001" of the ball needs to hit the box to be a strike, let's say that the entire box is extended by the size of the ball in all directions. And now, instead of 0.00001% of the ball needing to be inside the box, 100% of the ball needs to be inside the box. This is the literal exact same result, but maybe (strangely?) appease different people.

@WholeLottaCelts I'd think that a workplace compelling all employees to participate in a month-long celebration of dudes banging each other by firing them if they find it distasteful is weirder than what Jaden Ivey said...but that's just me.

Dozens of NBA players have been arrested for domestic violence, assault & battery, drug charges, aggravated assault with weapons, etc etc...... The NBA covers it up, sells their jerseys, & brands them as heroes. But if you dare question the LGBTQIA + religion........ that's the line. "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize." Pretty telling.

This is a false equivalency. The NBA isn’t drawing some random “line”—it’s protecting a culture built on inclusivity. Comparing criminal behavior to public statements that marginalize entire groups misses the point. Players have platforms, and with that comes responsibility. If you choose to say things that exclude or demean others, there are consequences—that’s not suppression, it’s accountability.
